BUILDERS EXCHANGE TO MEET TUESDAY
The regular monthly meeting of Orange-co. chapter of the Los Angeles Builder's Exchange will be held at the Elks' club at Anaheim on Tuesday evening starting with dinner at 6:00 p.m.
This is to be an open meeting and all members are urged to be present and to bring a friend—someone connected with the building industry or Orange-co., either a contractor of good standing or a building material merchant or licensed architect.
It will be the last open meeting for some time. In the future, all meetings will be strictly confined to members and devoted to the discussion of local building problems.
The membership of the local chapter has been growing steadily since its first meeting four months ago. At the last meeting 5 new members were taken in, giving a total membership of 29.
The first action of importance taken by the Exchange was to present to the Santa Ana city council a resolution calling for an increase in the Building inspector's office—so as to provide adequate facilities to take care of the great increase in building in Santa Ana and see that only the best of construction, according to the building ordinance, is allowed to be erected.
The Exchange is composed of only reliable firms and it is pointed out as the prideful record of the Los Angeles Exchange that a lien has not been filed on any of its members in the last 25 years. This insures the public of the responsibility of the Exchange members in any dealings.

According to the monthly report issued by the scout executive today by the members of the county executive board, the County Court of Honor, of which Leon O. Whitsell of Orange is chairman, last month awarded 38 second class badges, 31 first class badges and 133 merit badges. It is fully expected this will be the greatest year for the Court of Honor. One feature of this report is the fact that Orange-co has increased its membership by nearly 200% in the period when national headquarers had asked every council strive to increase 25%. If Orange-co had only increased its membership the loted 25%, there would be 470 scouts at present whereas there are an excess of 1100. The report shows that several new troops are in process of formation and it is expected that the 1200 mark will be reached before the next county rally day 4th.
Friday evening, Victor E. Teaney, assistant scout executive, assisted in completing the organization of new Cypress troop. The County Court of Honor, under the leadership of Leon O. THOMAS MEIGHAN LEADING FILM IDOL
Who is the most popular screen actor in this country today?
Of course you all know. Don't answer at once.
Certainly. Its none other than Thomas Meighan.
Many stars claim title to the above but according to many authorities over the country, Meighan is without a peer in popularity and the affections of the people.
Therefore, his pictures are always looked upon as the best to be procured, and it is with genuine enthusiasm that the Califronia theater here is preparing to stage his latest feature entitled "Back Home and Broke"
This story, so ably portrayed by this distinguished actor, deals with the trials and triumphs of a small town young man who really finds out just who his friends are, both when he has money and when he is broke.
Supported by petite Lila Lee and a splendid supporting cast, Thomas Meighan does the best work of his career in this picture, it is said. The California will undoubtedly enjoyandy business during the run of this picture tomorrow and Wednesday, it is believed. In addition to this picture, the California will also offer many other entertaining attractions.
Tonight will see the final performances of Reginald Barker's thrilling masterpiece "Hearts Aflame". With an all-star cast of notables, "Hearts Aflame" is creating much attention here.
