ANAHEIM SPANISH TEAM VS. CYPRESS
Anaheim Spanish baseball team will play off last Sunday's 6 to 6 tie with the fast Cypress team at Richfield next Sunday afternoon.
With the score tied at the end of the ninth frame last Sunday after noon, it was decided to leave it so for the present, because of the heat and fatigue of circling the bases, and come to conclusions later.
The Anaheim battery Sunday will be the veterans, Henry Bleecker, pitcher, and Costillo, catcher.

HUNTINGTON BEACH
LOSES TO LINCOLN
Coach "Feet" Walker's Huntington Beach track squad was downed by Coach Tommy Davis, Lincoln, HI.
EXPECT BIG CROWD FOR SUNDAY SHOOT
A big crowd is expected out for the Sunday morning shoot of the Orange County Gun Club on Brookhurst avenue. Benches have been provided for shooters and spectators and there will be something to shoot for besides fun, promises Secretary Ben Christleib.
The letter announces that he has already taken steps to have the new Orange County Gun Club recognized by the American Trap Shooters Association, so that the club will be eligible to hold registered shoots.
The secretary of the Vernon Gun club has agreed to close that club the fourth Sunday of each month to bring the Vernon members here. This should be a big drawing card for the local club.
“Pride of Palomar” Has Popular Theme
A virile story of California with a powerful theme is “The Pride of Palomar” a Cosmopolitan production from Peter B. Kyne’s noted novel of the same name, which is now showing at the California theater. The leading roles are portrayed by Marjorie Daw and Forrest Stanley.
The story tells of the struggle of a World War veteran against crushing interests in his native state, the fight centering around the possession of the family ranch, which he finds on his return from overseas, has all but fallen into the hands of the enemy. Making the story highly dramatic is the fact that the father of the girl whom the young man loves heads the opposing interests.
There is also the great problem for the girl deciding where she ought to stand in the fight between her father and her sweetheart. She loves both, and her novel way of meeting the situation is thrilling.
The picture has an all star cast and has been well produced by Frank Borzage, who directed “Humoresque” Forrest Stanley and Marjorie Daw have the featured roles, and other important parts are portrayed by Bridgeman.

"The GALLOPING KID" IS GIBSON'S LATEST
When Hoot Gibson enlisted in the U.S. Army for the period of the war the recruiting officers knowing his hazardous career at Universal City assigned his for duty in the Tank Corps. Breaking in whippet tanks proved no more difficult for the Universal star than busting buckling bronchos.
In his latest Universal starring vehicle, "The Galloping Kid", directed by Nat Ross, which comes to the United theater tomorrow Gibson gives an exhibition of the brand of horsemanship that won for him the studded championship belt at Pendleton, Oregon, in 1912.
The story is one of the William H. Hamby "Mistat" series that met with much popularity in a national magazine. Gibson, in the title role, portrays a wandering cowboy who drifts from one ranch to another, never being evicted before putting a meal under his belt and replentishing his supply of smokes.
Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Spraker, from Huntington Park, formerly of Cypress, were calling upon old friends yesterday. They enjoy getting back among Cypress folk frequently.
