MEN AND MATRONS OF YEARS AGO SURPRISE PECKS JUST to show that George Washington has no corner on birthdays, friends of Mrs. F. G. Peck went to the Peek home Just evening for a jolly surprise party, and it was some surprise, too. The date was also the anniversary of the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Peck, which was an event occurring in San Bernardino 11 years ago. When Mrs. Peck answered the doorbell she was almost overcome at the motley crowd. Dresses brought from the attic trunks portraying styles of ages ago, were worn by the ladies, and men, with their obsolete garb, presented a comical appearance. Cards gave much pleasure early in the evening and dancing was enjoyed after the games. Mr. and Mrs. Peck were presented with a very pretty boudoir lamp as a convenir of the two interesting events on the calendar each year. A lunchcon was served last in the evening. The self-invited guests were Mr. and Mrs. Fred James, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wycoff, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schindler, Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Bowen, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Goilahar, Mrs. Ruth Livingston, Mrs. Bromley, of Compton, who, with Mr. and Mrs. Peck, the honorees, made a company of 14 merry participants. Open House This Evening The F.
