A number of dandy acts feature the stage offerings, and none other than Johnny Hines will be seen in his newest picture "Sure Fire Flint." The outstanding feature the vaudeville program will be the noted Strattford Comedy Four in their nifty act "School Days". These four boys are whiz singers when it comes to harmony, and the harmony-Oh, boy! They also come with a special setting of scenery. George Evers, the widely known blackface comic will be seen on this bill with a rip-roaring act. Evers will make 'em laugh if any one can, at least that is what Tom Ingram of the California says. Ferry and Hawthorne present "In A Bungalow", a nifty act that should be a big hit here. Russell and Ford have a comedy song and chatter act that keeps the audience in yells and giggles throughout. Lathrop and Ruby complete the bill with their superb aerial innovation. This is a sensation and one of the most skillful acts ever seen locally. Tonight will see the final performances of Mary Alden in "A Woman's Woman". Other brilliant features are also included upon this program for tonight. Center St. Anaheim, Calif. THRILLS IN COMEDY AT UNITED THEATRE "Watch Your Step", the new Goldwyn picture coming to the United theater for two days, beginning tonight is a light comedy with many thrilling situations. It is the work of Julien Josephson, who has written many of Charles Ray's successes. Cullen Landis, one of the youngest leading men on the screen, has the role of city sport who, through a series of accidents, finds himself in a small town. There he hides against the law, but he finds that he cannot guard his heart. The result is enovitable. In the end, justice overtakes the hero; and he discovers that he has been fleeing from an overwrought imagination. One of the most thrilling automophotographed in "Watch Your Step". To see it will make you clutch your seat and hang on to the finish. The picture was directed by William Beaudine, with Patsy Ruth Miller in the leading feminine role. STROH TO WRESTLE JOHN BROWN, BEAR Herman Stroh, the big Taft wrestler, takes on John Brown, the champion Bear wrestler at Santa Fe Springs tomorrow evening. Stroh weighs about 225 pounds while the bear scales 550. The Bear is the famous moving picture star, that Ad Santel wrestled a few weeks back for the movies and which pictures have been shown in Anaheim. Brown is to throw Stroh twice in 20 minutes. There are going to be two good boxing contests besides the bear wrestling. Kid Chick meets Jack Spar at 125 lbs. and the Masked Marvel fo Oklahoma meets Young Lee at 180 lbs. BIGGEST CROWD OF SEASON SEES BEST PROGRAM AT ARENA (By Sargum Sprouts) There was one of the crowds of the season out to the fight palace last evening and to say that they got their moneys worth is putting it lightly. From the slam bang affair that opened the show to the same sort of thing that closed it there was not an idle moment. On several occasions the fans went wild and did ever thing from a shimmy to a war dance. Dick Brown, a muscular gent with a good deal excess waist line, went out to annihilate a stripling of the fighting Reece family answer to the good name of Earnest. Earnest was surprised at the ferocious attack of Brown but not for long and his long willowey arms began to tattoo a dream waitz on the heavier man's jaw. Brown fell in the first round with 20 seconds to go. The little wasp of a Reece is bear cat and no fooling. Kid McCoy met an inexperienced boy of his own weight and almost got K. O'ed by the novice. Young Lee will make a good boxer when he learns a little. He got a draw from the crafty Kid. Tony Ross did everything to Kid Rubio but dynamite him and yet was unable to put the Kid away for keeps. Tony had four knock downs to his credit and several thousand pounds of punch power. Rubio took enough punishment to last most boxers a life time. He appears to be knock out proof.
