Notice of Application for Voluntary Disposition of Corporation In the Matter of the Voluntary Disposition of T. J. F. Boege Company, a corporation. Notice is hereby given: That the T. J. F. Boege Company, a corporation organized under the laws of the State of California, has filed with the clerk of the superior court of the County of Orange, State of California, this 28th day of November, 1922, a petition praying to be allowed to dissolve said corporation, and said clerk has been directed by order of this Court to give thirty-one (31) days notice of said application by publication in each issue of the "Orange County Plain Letter," a newspaper published in Orange County, California, and that this notice is now given and will be published according to said order in said newspaper during the said period of thirty-one (31) days from and after the 28th day of November, 1922, and at any time during the said period of thirty-one (31) days any person may file herein its objection to said application for the dissolution of said T. NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORKS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: SECTION I. That on the 14th day of December, 1922, the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim passed and adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 167 to order the following described street work to be done in said city, to wit: That South Illinois Street, in said city, be laid out, opened and extended from the northerly line of the Track to the western protrusion line of West Brookway Street, and that a 15-foot alley be laid out and opened from the westerly property line of South Indiana Street to the easterly property line of South West Street. 1000-BARREL WELL ON COYLE LEASE WITH OIL OPERATORS... Richfield starfled things with a 1900 barrel well on the Union Oil Co.'s Coyle property. The big well did not turn out as good as it looked when it was found that all but 250 barrels of the production consisted of water. The Standard Oil Co., has an interesting well drilling on the original Kirkemer property. Kraemer 1-15A is now making hole at 5025 feet and will go on for a deep test. The real success of the week at Richfield was made by Petroleum Midway Co., at Yarrell 15. The new producer drilled to 4554 feet came in at 900 barrels and is making 24 gravity oil. The Torrance field has established itself with a 28 gravity, 880 barrel well. The new producer brought in by the Chandler Canfield at 3545 is by far the best and biggest well the field has yet shown and gives the development now underway tremendous encouragement. Up to the present time the producers have been coming three and four hundred barrel wells producing 13 and 15 gravity oil. The Chansler-Canfield Midway under the supervision of Geologist Blodgett discovered the field and to the company and the man the credit of getting something good and worth while is given. The new type well has stimulated development work considerably and this week saw the Globe Petroleum Co., the Hub On Co., the Petroleum Midway, and the Union Oil Co., starting new wells. The Standard Oil Co., completed a well on the Kirke lease and brought in a 125 barrel producer at 2500 feet. One of the most important moves made at the close of the year in field development is the Interstate Oil Co., decision to drill a deep test well at Newport. The Interstate Oil Co., started pioneering in Newport ten years ago, has tried hard to develop production and did succeed in getting some heavy oil. That the land deemed necessary is taken for the legend out, opening and extending of South Illinois Street from the northerly line of the Lohman Tract to the westerly property line of West Broadway Street is situated within the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, and is described as follows, to-wit: Beginning at a point on the present southerly property line of West Broadway Street, said point being 235 feet easterly of the intersection of the present property line of South West Street and the present southern property line of West Broadway Street; thence easterly along the present southerly property line of West Broadway Street 50 feet; thence southerly parallel to the easterly property line of South West Street 165 feet to the northerly line of the Lohman Tract, as shown on a map recorded in Book 15, Page 3. Miscellaneous Records of Orange County, California, thence easterly along said northerly line of the man Tract 50 feet; thence northerly parallel to the easterly property line of South West Street 165 feet to the place of beginning. That the land deemed necessary to be taken for the laying out and opening of a 15-foot alley from the westerly property line of South Indiana Street to the easterly property line of South West Street is situated within the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, and is described as follows, to-wit: Beginning at a point on the present easterly property line of South West Street, said point being 150 feet south-erly from the point of intersection of present southerly property line of West Broadway Street and the present easterly property line of South West Street; thence easterly along the easterly property line of South West Street 15 feet; thence easterly parallel to the present southerly property line of West Broadway Street 235 feet; thence northerly parallel to the present easterly property line of South West Street 15 feet; thence easterly parallel to the southerly property line of West Broadway Street; thence northerly parallel to the easterly property line of South West Street 248.29 feet to the place of beginning. SECTION 3. That said Board of Trustees therein specify the exterior boundaries of the district of lands which said Board of Trustees therein determined and declared to be affected and benefited by said work and improvement, and to be assessed upon such lands. LEGAL NOTICE FOR SALE, HOUSE Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees, of the City of Anaheim, will receive sealed proposals or bids, up to 8 o'clock p.m. on Thursday, 11th day of January 1923, for the purchase of the two-story, 9 rooms, frame residence, at the corner of North Lemon and West Sycamore streets, commonly known as "Comstock House". Within 30 days from acceptance of bid, the said residence to be removed from the premises. In such a manner to do the minimum damage to the trees and shrubs now growing on said Lot. No bid will be considered that is for a sum less than $1,500, and each bid must be accompanied by a check or cash for at least $100.00. The check or cash of the successful bidder to become the property of the City of Anaheim if it new wells. The Seal Beach Oil Co., believe they have found sufficient oil showings at 4500 feet to justify the predication of production. And oil sand showing in a core barrel sample taken at the above depth cut oil. The snowing is the best the Seal Beach Oil Co., has had and relieves a lot of anxiety about the well. The Pomona Oil Co.'s deep test well, down 4865 feet, is showing some oil and is looking a little more encouraging than it has ever looked before. At 4835 a sand was passed that showed oil colors, and at 4860 another sand was pierced that carried enough oil to paint the tools. The co.'s work has been watched with great interest for two years, and it seems now that success is about to come. The well was located by Ralph Arnold and will be quite an asset to him should it prove his contention. The Pomona well is located in wildcat territory ten miles from production. At Downey The Union Oil Co., has reached a depth of 4860 feet and the well is still in doubt. The showings have not been any importance and there seems to be little chance of a field now. The Standarde Oil Co., has officially abandoned its Bureau Park test well. Drilling was carried to 4384 and nothing found. EXCURSION ON ALL Back east excursion offered by all trays according to C. agent of the Sands effective May 15. sale point of beginning being 150 feet southerly from the southerly property line of West Broadway Street; thence southerly along the western property line of Indiana Street 15 feet; westerly parallel to the southerly property line of West Broadway Street 248.39 feet; thence northerly parallel to the easterly property line of South West Street 15 feet; thence easterly parallel to the southerly property line of West Broadway Street 248.39 feet to the place of beginning. SECTION 3. That said Board of Trustees did therein specify the exterior boundaries of the district of land determined and declared affirmed and benefited by said work and improvement, and to be assessed to pay the damages, costs and expenses thereof, as follows: to-wit: Beginning at the intersection of the monumented line of West Broadway Street and the monumented center line of South West Street; thence easterly along the monumented line of West Broadway Street and the monumented center line of South West Street; thence northerly along said center line $17.29 feet to the place of beginning, excepting therefrom all streets and alleys and also excepting the land described as land to be taken for the improvement. SECTION 4. All of the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance to an Act of the Legislature of the State of California entitled "An Act to provide for laying up, extending, widening, strengthening, or closing up, in whole or in part any street, square, lane, alley, court or place within municipalities, and to condemn and acquire any and all land and property necessary or convenient for that purpose," approved March 6, 1859, and all acts amendatory thereof or supplementary thereafter. SECTION 5. For further particulars, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention No. 1672 on file at the office of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim, in the City Hall in Anaheim. Markle on S.Citron-st as the parsonage and home of their pastor, Rev Sam Gott who comes about Jan. 1st to take charge as pastor of the newly organized church.
