WED AT SUNSET IN
PARENTAL HOME
BEAUTIFUL and simple were the services at sunset Saturday evening when Miss Luna Wellman and Ensign Dale Quarton were wed at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Wellman on E. Center-st.
The rooms were attractive in their triumphs of red and green with Xinge candles as the only lighting effects in the room where the young couple exchanged their vows, and in the reception room where the wedding luncheon was served.
They were attended by Mrs. Wayne Amack, sister of the groom, who was attired in a dark gown, and Irving Quarton, brother of the groom. Rev. Coe Wellman, brother of the bride was the officiating clergyman.
The bride, an attractive brunette, was gowned in a dark chiffon velvet gown and carried an armful of bridges roses. She entered the parlor on the arm of her father. To quote Lord Byron "she walked in beauty like the night".
After a wedding menu, the couple was accompanied to Los Angeles where they left at eight on the Lark for San Francisco to enjoy their honeymoon.
The wedding unites two of the popular young people of Anaheim. Their romance had its beginning when they attended Anaheim high school. Both are graduates, Ensign Quarton being from the class of '16 and his bride, the class of '17.
Mrs. Quarton, one of Anaheim's talented musicians, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Wellman. She is active in the young people's circles of the White Temple. Ensign Quarton is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Quarton, long time residents of Anaheim. After leaving Anaheim he passed a year at Pomona, then went to Stanford and while there re-

TUNEFUL CANTATA
SUNG BY CHOIR
OF PRES. CHURCH
The cantata "Holy Night" formed central part of the special music services held at the Presbyterian church Sunday evening. This well known and excellently written Christmas composition by E. L. Ashford was beautifully rendered by the choir and those assisting and was particularly enjoyed by the large congregation which attended, due in part to the fitting decorations of the pulpit and platform and the mellow light of the candles which surrounded the singers; all contributing to the development of the theme of the service.
The service opened with invisible caroling, the choir slowly assembling and the volume gradually increasing. Then in prophetic strain, Mr. Wm. Askin renedered "And in that Day" with the chorus followed by the quartet of Messrs Askin and Waugh and Misses Walker and Grimshaw singing "There Shall Come Forth". The quartet and chorus sang Hayden's "Silent Night" with solos by Mrs. Walter Ross and Miss Alice Grimshew. At this point Miss Elizabeth Walker followed with a controllo solo "O Blessed Town of Bethlehem", telling of Christ's birth and leading up to the "Gloria in Execlais Deo" by Mr. Maurice Waugh and chorus.
The story of Christ's birth was continued by a soprano solo by Miss Alice Grimshew in "Star of the East". Then Messrs Waugh, Askin and Donald Walker told of "The Quest of the Wise Men" in a rich and powerful blending of tenor, baritone and bass. The final chorus "Blessed be the Lord God" contained solos by Mrs. Walter Ross and Mr. Waugh and ended with a harmonious choral arrangement of "Come and Worship Christ the Newborn King."
