As will be judged at once from the title of this new fun feature, it is a burlesque on the great Dumas' romance, "The Three Musketeers." Critics who have seen this new Linder comedy in five reels declare it to be the best and the funniest and most laugh-provoking film he ever has made. In this case, a Welsh tradesman provided that his wife should be paid in sums of five or ten shillings, as his trustees saw fit. "I have always found," he remarked in his will, "that my wife has no sense of the value of money nor can she keep it when she gets it." Another testator, who complained that his wife had called him an "old pig," among other expressions, left her the sum of one farthing (half an American cent) to be metied her in an unstamped envelope, thereby forcing her to pay postage in excess of the bequest. BLACK SHIRT KNOWN AS BRAVERY SIGN NEW YORK, Dec. 7.—The now famous black shirts of the Italian Fascist have had a national significance only since the last year of the war. "At that time they were made part of the regulation uniform of the Arditi, Italy's picked shock troops. Hence the black shirt came to typify bravery, recklessness and supreme patriotism. Before it became the pride of the Arditi the shirt had been affected irregularly by Italian soldiers since the time of Garibaldi, but it was said to have no meaning beyond a personal desire to appear ominious or hard-boiled."
