NEW OFFICERS FOR COMING YEAR IN SUNDAY SCHOOL
THE meeting of the Sunday School board and the annual election of officers was held last evening following an excellent supper served in the church dining room.
Among the business topics coming up was the change in date of the Christmas cantata from Friday, Dec. 22 to Thursday night, Dec. 21. Committees were appointed to look after other Christmas arrangements, among them the treat committee composed of Charles Eygabroad, F. T. Edmiston, W. M. Wellman, Mrs. E. W. Baum and Mrs. Harry Jayne. A communication was received from the Edellis class giving the name of 20 ladies who have volunteered to act as supply teachers.
Election of officers resulted as follows: George M. Tedrick, re-elected superintendent, with Rev. Cee Wellman, assistant. Harry Jayne is recording secretary. N. R. Phillips, treasurer and R. W. Marvin, assistant. Mrs. C. E. Wilkinson was elected enrolling secretary.
In the cradle roll department Mrs. W. M. Wellman will be superintendent, with Mrs. E. A. Collins her assistant. Mrs. Wm. Warner is of the head of the beginners' department, with Mrs. L. P. Nichols and Mrs. E. B. Segerstrom, assistants, Mrs. J. K. Langdon heads the Primary division, with Mrs. J. E. Maire, Mrs. Warren Mathis, Mrs. Harry Jayne, and the Misses Twinum, DeWitt, Grace Curtis, Bryant and Benecke her helpers.
Mrs. E. W. Baum is superintendent of the junior department, with Messdames Goodyear, Bonney, Floyx West and Porsythe her teachers, Mrs. George Tedrick as superintendent.
Luncheon for Musicians
Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Austin, Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Andersen, Louis Artau, Mrs. Niver and Mrs. Ruth Selitz were in Los Angeles yesterday attending the luncheon given at the City club to one hundred musicians of the Southland representing all branches of music. The occasion was in preparation of Music week, which is hoped to inaugurate in southern California.
Other cities over the nation have successfully observed such a week. Portland having just concluded one, Gale Christopher, manager of the Philharmonic orchestra, and musical director in the Long Beach Methodist church during the pastorate of Dr. J.A.Gelsinger, some years ago, was present and offered the services of the great orchestra for the occasion.
Annaheim was recognized through her representatives and each one called upon to make a short talk: Exchange of ideas and working plans made the lunchout a beneficial one.

CHORAL SOCIETY
REHEARSING FOR
COMMUNITY XMAS
AMBITIOUS to make the community Christmas celebration the greatest ever held, the Anaheim Community Choral Society is spending great effort in the program, meeting each Monday night for rehearsals. The society, now composed of about 70 voices, is learning many Christmas carols to be used at the Community Christmas tree in the city park on a date during holiday week. The program will be repeated in the Mexican colony on the following evening. Gifts for the children will hang on both trees making a joyous Christmas celebration.
With Miss Marion Wallace acting as the competent accompanist for the society, a study of the cantata, "Galileo," by Charles Gonoud, was begun. Roscoe Corley contributed two solos with his characteristic charm, accompanied on the piano by Mrs. Seitz. On next Monday evening the society will hear Mr. F. H. Leonard in bass solos.
Through the efforts of Louis Danz, president; A. C. Stewart, of the Pacific Coast Community Service music department, will attend the next meeting to give an inspirational talk. The meetings are held in the high school, through the courtesy of J. A. Clayes, and are lawy well attended.
C. W. Austin presented 3000 copies of the carols to be used in the Christmas programs, to the society last evening.

Club Opposes Bill
Going on record yesterday as opposed to the Burison bill, now up for discussion before Congress, Anaheim Ebell club instructed its secretary to write the state's congressmen to that effect. This bill will take from the Puerto Indians all their lands, and the clubs' action was only in line with the opinion of the many other women's clubs at the state.
Echoes from the Southern district federation of clubs, held in San Diego the middle of November were heard in the excellent reports of the delegates, Mrs. Nelle E. Terry and Mrs Kate Ren. Dr. Raiche, also a delegate, gave her time to exploiting the sale of Red Cross seals, with explanation for the use of a portion of the funds in establishing a dental clinic.
The new by-laws were adopted unanimously, among them being one to provide for rthe nine directors so filling their terms that at least six old ones will serve with three new ones as each election rolls around.
Mrs. Harry Spellman, talented reader, pleased the club greatly with her numbers, and little Blenda Probst, also recognized as unusually fine, contributed two readings.
Chairmen of the several club sections gave excellent reports of the doings of the divisions.

A letter has been received from headquarters thanking the American Legion Auxiliary for their proposed visit to Camp Kearney and the comrades there. The ladies of the local order have been working hard with sales and other moneymaking efforts to take substantial Christmas cheer to the boys in the hospital especially. There are 148 patients now, one half of whom are confined to their beds. Boxes of candy, cakes, nuts and fruit are being packed and will be delivered personally by representatives of the Auxiliary and the Legion about the middle of December.
Aid Sale at Grinishaws
There will be a sale of fancy goods, comforts, aprons and cooked foods Thursday, Dec. 7, at the home of Mrs. T. S. Grimshaw, 112 West Broadway by the Ladies Aid of the Freebyterian church. The affair promises a little more of the social nature than the ordinary bazaar, being held in the hospital home; but everyone is invited. If not sure of Christmas gifts, the entire list may be found on sale, and no end of good things for the evening meal may be purchased, thus sharing the pleasures of Ole hazzar with friend husband.
Dress Rehearsal Wed.
A rehearsal of the entire Red Riding Hood company will be bed Wednesday evening, beginning at 8:30, in the high school. Mothers are asked to please see that the children are there on time, as the practice is an important and lengthy one. The conditions are gorgeous and everything now points to a decidedly successful presentation on Thursday night. Mrs. Walter Roen, the queen, is one of the small gracious ladies of nobility, and with her 70 little fairies will make a beautiful picture. Otto Krabtel will accompany all the singing.
Tickets are on sale at Heying's Pharmacy and the Lexington salesroom. Proceeds are for the Ebell clubhouse building fund, and the Music section under whose auspices the operetta is being given, is anxious for a good audience.
