LOCALS IN PASSING
ANAHEIM S. S. gridsters are getting tuned up for the football games this week with—Whittier. The boys on both teams are being put thru some hard drilling on forward passing.
These games are the third of the league series. The Annheim warriors have had one victory and one defeat. Teams are evenly matched and with the kickoff at Good There will be action galore until the last minute of the last quarter. Support the boys and be at the games. Coach Elliott lined-up these babes to go into the melee first: Jabs, left end; Tobin, left tackle; Gregg, left guard; Walton, center; Beebe, right guard; Waters, right tackle; Cate, right end; Mathis, quarterback; Wilbern, right half; Sweeney, left half; Holdsworth, full back. Kenny Mathis is the captain of the aggregation.

PUDELLO, JUST IN FROM N. Y. WANTS MATCH WITH MABEE
Another wrestler landed in Anaheim this morning and immediately laughed a challenge to Roy Mabee. Anaheim's mat idol, for a match, hand-leap or finish. He is Jack Pudello who has been in California two days, coming from New York. In Los Angeles where Pudello visited the athletic clubs he heard of Mabee. Pudello tips the scales at 185 pounds, much heavier than Roy. He claims to have won the light-heavyweight championship.

Another wrestler landed in Anaheim this morning and immediately issued a challenge to Roy Mabee, Anaheim's idol, for a match, hand-lean or finish. He is Jack Pudello who has been in California two days, coming from New York. In Los Angeles, where Pudello visited the athletic clubs he heard of Mabee. Pudello tips the scales at 185 pounds, much heavier than Roy. He claims to have won the light-heavyweight championship of Europe 12 years ago.
Pudello is very anxious to meet Mabee or any other wrestler in this vicinity.
Roy said this morning that he had been training in Los Angeles yesterday and getting ready for a possible match with Santel in San Francisco within the next month.
Mabee will not attempt to put on another local until a suitable place can be arranged for. He fears the winter rains will interfere with matches at the arena unless a roof can be put on. The only other stage would be the Fairyland Theatre which is still closed up.
Pudello realizes that in Mabee he would have a strong and agile competitor but considering that he has met such stars as Wm. Demetral, Metro and Chul he is ready to tackle Roy.
CHAMPS OF PACIFIC FLEET WANT GAME
Billy Knott is in receipt of a second letter from K. V. Quintero, of the U. S. S. Charleston, baseball champs of the Pacific fleet, seeking a game with the Anaheim Elks.
The gobs also claim the title for the American Legion and of all other San Diego teams.
Quintero says all interesting opposition has been exhausted in vicinity of the southern bay and that his team is extremely anxious to visit Anaheim which he says could be done at slight expense as they have automobiles available.
