TAILORING ORDER MAN PROVES CROOKS
Two well known men of Anaheim who are agents for foreign tailoring establishments are behind the move of the Merchants Association and the Chamber of Commerce to protect the people from dishonest representatives of alleged tailoring establishments. One young man who solicited orders and accepted deposits on suits for a tailoring establishment has proved to be a first class crook, and several men in Anaheim are losers. He took orders, and was very sure to take deposits, for suits, and told the purchasers that the suits would arrive within a week or ten days coming C. O.D. by express for the balance due. The suits have not arrived, and investigation reveals that there is no such tailoring establishment as the one he claimed to represent.
The two Anaheim agents are being confronted now with the work of breaking down suspicions created. With an ordinance enacted to deal with outside agencies, explains the special committee, every business man will be protected from such unfair and dishonest competition.
