LTER CO. HAS
WOODLES OF CARS
This is Cleveland and Chandler week at the J. E. Walter Company's. A full line of Cleveland cars, except the coupe, is being shown at the handsome showrooms on East Center street, and many of the Chandlers. Open until nine o'clock at night as during the past two weeks.
The Chandler got additional publicity yesterday, when Al Ritchie, famous strong man, got behind one of the cars and drew a train of wagons down from North Olive street to the California theater where he is playing.
The new Cleveland is drawing a lot of admiring glances these days. It is a cut-price Chandler, the same car with some of the less essential features omitted and afine looking car, too.
WEST BUILDING
FINISHED OCT. 23
The handsome new building of West Bros. facing on Chestnut street and extending nearly to the Library grounds, is scheduled to be finished by the Hollow Concrete Construction Company of Santa Ana on or about Oct. 23. This is the first building of its type in Anaheim although hollow concrete—not concrete blocks—has been tried out in many parts of Southern California for years past.
The hollow space makes for dryness the year round, warmth in winter and coolness in summer. The building also will be re-enforced and absolutely fireproof.
The pitched roof will contain two big skylights, while practically the entire east side of the building will be windows, affording workmen the maximum amount of natural light to work by.
The display room will face on Chestnut street, while the rest of the building will form one big space, with high ceilings, housing battery.
McGee Local Agent
Westinghouse Battery
L. H. McGee, of the McGee Battery & Electric Service, has become Anaheim distributor for the Westinghouse battery. McGee has issued this statement:
You will be interested to know that I have been selected by the Westinghouse Union Battery Co. as their local distributor and service station for the Westinghouse automobile and radio batteries.
It is the pride and policy of the Westinghouse organization to do things exceptionally well, to build things unusually good, and to guard Westinghouse quality with more than ordinary zeal. Westinghouse airbrakes automatic signals and other world recognized Westinghouse achievements have reflected this policy through decades of Westinghouse history.
All Westinghouse standard automobile batteries are guaranteed to give a minimum of 18 months service for their original cost. Should the battery fail to function properly any period during this 18 months, your battery will be repaired free of cost to you by any Westinghouse service station in the United States.
Westinghouse batteries are oversized as much as 25 per cent in common sizes.
It is my policy to recommend a new eWestinghouse battery only when your battery can no longer be economically repaired and in judging repairs the cost will be told you in advance.

The main event was a 25-mile race, but there were also preliminary races of 10 miles each.
EXIDE JUNIOR BEST BATTERY FOR FORDS
Drivers of Ford cars who are discouraged with their batteries might try an Exide Junior, says George Ennis, proprietor of the Automotive Electric Company, distributor of the Exide and various other batteries and their parts. Ennis has one of the most complete parts departments in the county.
This Exide Junior, while it has the 11 plates specified by manufacturers for all Ford batteries, has the starting ability of a 13-plate battery, say the makers.
The Exide Junior's price was cut early in the summer, and price cutting has been going on ever since.
In addition to its initial quality, the Exide purchased of Ennis has back of it a service which only Ennis' long experience as an all-round electrician can give.

OLINDA
OLINDA, Sept. 50. (Spl.)—Richard Kakeulio, known by most one in Olinda, as Dick, the Hawaiian, aged 42 years, died at 5:09 Tuesday, p. m., Sept. 26 at the county hospital of quick growing cancer.
Dick had not been well for several months, but as he was living alone he said nothing about it until he was almost unable to work. And then he did not let any one know his condition. On July 3rd he was so very weak he consented to see a doctor who ordered him to the hospital where he has been under constant care until his death. The cancers developed very rapidly and his death has been expected at any time. Dick was born in the Hawaiian Islands in 1880. His parents were of very high class tribes. His real name is not known as his father died when Dick was a small boy and his mother married Kakeulio and Dick has always been known by that name.
In 1888 Mr. W. H. Bailey, who had large interest in the islands, came over to California and brot the Kakeulio family which consisted of Mr. and Mrs. Kakeulio, Dick and one daughter. Later three girls were born who were sent over to the islands while very small. The mother died in this country and is buried at San Gabriel. The sister also died and is buried on the old Olinda ranch. Dick was raised by the C. A. Baileys brother of W. H. Bailey.
Mrs. Takes' last minute is off her own and to her due credit is given for his beautiful life.
He came to Olinda several times.
I. B. S. Battery Cut, Quality Unchanged
One hundred or more Anahelmen and others now own I. B. S. batteries, and not one of them has had to have an adjustment made, according to W. E. Altnow, proprietor of the Independent Battery Station. The branches of the station opened several weeks ago are also getting their share of the battery business where they are located and then some.
Altnow points out that the I. B. S. for Fords is of the same high quality as ever and that the reduction to $17 is therefore genuine. Altnow's Square Deal sign is attracting more and more patronage to his Anaheim headquarters at Cypress and North Los Angeles streets.

He was converted to the Christian faith several years ago and has been a very devout Christian ever since. He was very concensious and kind to every one, especially children.
Too much praise can not be given him. If his completion was dark his heart and mind were as white as snow. And we know that he has gone to eternal rest in heaven.
RETURN TO RUSSIA, ARE DISAPPOINTED
AMBRIDGE, Pa., Sept. 30—Utopia has not been found in bolshevig Russia by foreigners who went back looking for it, according to Prof. G. Devich, a foreign banker, who has just returned from a tour of Europe. "They would give anything to return to the land of the free and the home of the brave," he said. "Their hopes are blasted, and they say America is the most blessed land anywhere."
Modern tools were used by pyramid builders, indications showing they worked with solid and tubular drills and straight and circular saws.
