FAST BOXING CARD AT ARENA TONIGHT MATCHMAKER Billy Darnley of the Anaheim Athletic Club believes he has a card tonight that ought to fill the Arena to its capacity. From the curtain raiser to the main event, each bout looks to be the real McCoy and there promises to be enough action to suit all. The feature event between that tough old war horse, Mike Oleary, and Scotty Deist will be a hummer for both are fast and willing mixers with a punch. Mike has never failed to give the fans a thrill every time he has started here and it is expected that tonight will see no exception. Deist is making his initial bow before local bugs and it is a safe prediction that he will make a big hit with the bugs tonight for he is a pleasing performer with a good record to pack it up. They will weigh in at about 138 pounds. Paddy Dillon from Santa Ana, will mix with another tough youngster in this Jimmy Musse boy who hails from San Berdon. Musse is the lad who gave Johnny McGraw such a tough fight last week when he held that rough customer to a hard fought draw. In the preliminaries, Darnley will have some more new faces on the bill and they are being banked upon to 'come thru' in great style. That piece of fighting machinery, Art Esphocoon, will tangle with just about the best box that he has been called upon to meet, in Joe Kelly of Los Angeles. If Kelley is anything like his big brother, Tom, the boy who beat Jack Iman over at Delhi last Wednesday, Art is in for the fight of his sweet young life. They will meet at 135 pounds. Harry Bowan, a lad who is said to have T. N. T. in both hands, and who halls from Corona, will tackle another hard socker in this Bud Baker customer. Bowan is a southpaw and his style is apt to bother Bud considerable. Pete Pins, another Corona mixed, and our old friend, Mose Mootch, will start the proceedings at 8:30 o'clock sharp.
