Railsback Co. FARM IMPLEMENTS There is something almost sacred about the atmosphere of an implement shop. Why, I do not know, unless it is that these inanimate things which lie with seeming dignity upon the floor, are the consorts of a pregnant mother earth. Inanimate yes, but of almost human action in doing the labors of the husbandman. When I find myself in such an environment I will always think of romance and in reverend terms. What is it that reminds one of Thomas Grey and his beautiful Elegy, or of the divine songs of Longfellow or Whittier? They are man made devices; they are produced in hugh quantities and with commercial callousness, but they seem to possess a soul, a heart, a feeling—age, a God given usefulness that at once places them in a category of consecration. In visiting the implement shop assortment of useful implements. of Thomas Grey and his beautiful Elegy, or of the divine songs of Longfellow or Whittier? They are man made devices; they are produced in hugh quantities and with commercial callousness, but they seem to possess a soul, a heart, a feeling—age, a God given usefulness that at once places them in a catagory of consecration. In visiting the implement shop of L. M. Railsback Co. at 114 South Claudina street, in this city, one, if they are given to reflection in this busy world, will find it a place to muse of God and man; of a bountiful earth; of the labors of the tiller of the soil; of the divinity of the art of husbandry and of the great and indispensable use of the farming implement. Mr. L. M. Railsback, the proprietor of this establishment, is a man of considerable experience in the implement business. He has conducted a large implement business in Los Angeles for some five years and in February of this year he opened the local branch. Mr. Railsback is thoroughly acquainted with the farmer's needs and his big stock at both the main store in Los Angeles and in Anaheim offers the farmer a great assortment of useful implements. They are all there in their finest dress at the local store—the Oliver plows, the killefer implements, Knapp Orchard Discplows, Towner cultivators and so many other things that I cannot enumerate them all. The farmer in this district may avail himself of the best selection in the matter of farm machinery. "Leading Lines-of Farm Implements"—as the slogan goes. Mr. Walter Foster is the manager of the Anaheim branch. Formerly he was connected with the International Harvester Co. in the eastern part of the country. He knows the implement business and he sees to it that his stock is replete with all of those useful things that the farmer must have from time to time. POST FOR YOU NAMES L. M. Railsback Co.
