City Briefs
H. E. Axup, Metropolitan Agent and his family have moved from 416 N. Emily St. to 406 S. Kroeger St.
Mrs. Merton Skinner, who has been traveling in Seattle and other northern points for the past two months was expected to reach home early this evening. Mrs. Skinner has had a most enjoyable trip and no doubt will have many interesting stories and experiences to relate.
J. E. Jewett and family who have been living at 896 S. Los Angeles St. have moved to Sierra Madre where they will make their home.
Miss Florence Meeker has accepted a position with the Bake-Rite Company.
O. A. Renner and son, Russell, yesterday were in Los Angeles where Russell matriculated in the Univ. of Sou. Calif. He was a member of the A. U. H. S. class of '22.
New patients at the Anaheim Sanitarium include: Mrs. A. Lusk, Huntington Beach; Mrs. G. C. Page, Anaheim; Mrs. H. H. Fischer, Costa Mesa; Miss Selma Hattie Stark, Anaheim.
Mrs. Walter Ross and children are home for a few days from their summer cottage at Sunset Beach.
Judge G. B. Brown of Anaheim made a hasty trip to Corona yesterday.
Mr. and Mrs. Chas, Eygabroad and Mrs. John Maars are vacationing at the Torrey Pine-apts., Long Beach.
Dr. C. W. Harvey, who for several days has been in attendance upon Dr. J. A. Gelssinger, pastor of the White Temple, reports the minister is recovering nicely from the severe attack of bloodpoisoning. A vaccine has been administered which will make him immune from such attacks for 18 months.
Mr. and Mr.. L. Witherill visited with relatives at Pasadena on a recent day.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Earl Talcott and children, Gwendolyn and Jimmy, have just returned from a week's outing at Catalina Island.
Mrs. J. P. Brastad and daughter, Norma; Mrs. A. K. Dahl and daughter, Ruth and Mrs. Parks were visitors in Los Angeles yesterday.
Charley and Edwin Hughes were called to Pasadena the early part of the week to attend the funeral of a relative, Mrs. H. Coffin. Mrs. Coffin was a former resident of the Katella district and has a host of friends here who regret to hear of her passing.
James Tuma has resigned his position at the Mullinix Drug Store. He will attend U. S. C. this fall and will enjoy a vacation before resuming his studies. Jim Kuhn, now employed at the same store will sever his connection at the end of next week. He will also attend U. S. C.
Mrs. Adolph Collins is recovering nicely from an injured hand. While working in the rose garden, Mrs. Collins had the misfortune to run a thorn in her hand. Blood poisoning developed and the hand became swollen. She has had to have the hand lanced several times.
Mrs. I. N. Sears of Corona is a guest at the Harry L. Sears home.
Mrs. S. Roseman of Fullerton and her sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Wilson of Bakersfield passed the day at the P. F. Fesler home.
Mrs. Harry T. Hathaway and Mrs. M. E. Canby will motor to LaVida Springs this evening where they will enjoy the mineral baths and also visit Mrs Homer Eddy and children who are vacationing at that resort.
Mrs. G. O. Payne and son, Jack, returned yesterday from a 10 weeks visit with relatives in Charlevoix, Michigan.
Mrs. Richard Groos, Mrs. J. Ackerman, Edwin Fisher, Richard and William Groos, Paul Alexander motored to Newport today where they enjoyed an outing, with a dip in the surf and a picnic dinner.
Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Allen, Miss Fay Allen and John Allen motored to Newport Beach on Sunday.

District Nurses Picnic
The District Nurses' association will meet tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the auto park in Santa Ana. All nurses are invited. Each one is asked to bring luncheon enough for herself and a chummy, chatty little picnic will follow the meeting.

College Friends Dine
Miss Nell Housley entertained a few of her college friends at dinner last evening as a little get-together host before each girl enters upon her duties for the coming autumn and winter.
The guests were the Misses Gladys Sullivan, of Fullerton, who will teach in Placentia this year; Miss Hattie Roberton, of La Habra, has a position in her home town school and Miss Esther Casner, of Brea, will teach in Brea. With the hostess, the girls graduated last spring from U. S. C.
Other guests at the dinner were Dr. Amack and Miss Coy Amack, aunt and cousin respectively of the the hostess, Miss Houseley, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Houseley.
Sarah A. Brown left yesterday over the Santa Fe for Long Mont, Colo.
