Tuesday, August 29, 1922 SCOUTS RALLY AT SANTA ANA TONITE Boy Scouts today are preparing for what is expected to be the biggest scout rally ever held in Orange-co. The program starts promptly at 8 o'clock in the Temple Theater at Santa Ana. Every scout in the county is expected to be there. A splendid program has been arranged. The visitors will be given some idea of camp life at Camp Ro-Ki-Li when the scouts will put on a campfire singfest, followed by the camp yells. Dr. M. A. Patton, chairman of the camping committee, will bring this part of the program to a close by awarding more than 200 bronze bars to the boys who were at Camp Ro-Ki-Li more than one day. Ellis Rhodes is arranging for some special music through the Orange-co. Choral Union, after which several important announcements will be made. Then the scouts who are to go to Sacramento will be introduced and will put on the stunt which they will stage at Sacramento. Eagle Scout Walter Choi will be in charge of these boys. Scouts who are going are Lester Moon and Morris Davis of Santa Ana, Waldemor Borchard of Orange, and John Shea of Anaheim. A brief court of honor will be held to award badges to scouts who qualified during the summer months, and the closing feature on the program will be a thrilling Boy Scout picture entitled "The Huffback." The entire executive board of the council will be on the platform during the court of honor session and the first part of the program. The executive board consists of J. P. Baungartner, Alex Brownridge, W. J. Heinz, D. Eyman Huff, E. E. Jahz, C. R. Montague, Waldo McLay, George W. Sloop, Willard Smith, and M. B. Wellington.
