Friday, August 25, 1922 THE ORANGE COUNTY AMALGAND S. O. IN LEAD AT SANTA FE With Oil Operators At Santa Fe Springs the Amalgamated and Standard Oil fed the field for new production. The Amalgamated Oil Co. finishing Bewenter No. 1 at 3718, brought in a 1300-barrel well producing 31 gravity oil. The Amalgamated's Tschepe No. 1 has passed 4200 feet without getting any oil showings of importance. Santa Gertrudes No. 1 completed by the Standard Oil Co. at 3862 surprised its owners by coming in at 1,500 barrels. South Whittier Community No. 3 at 4395 is getting ready to go on production. On the Brownrigg-Kellar property the Standard has made a location for a second well. Brownrigg-Kellar production is not obtained short of 4700 feet, but 600 barrel wells producing 33 gravity oil is the reward. The Fullerton Oil Co. will go after some of the "deep stuff" at Santa Fe Springs. The Fullerton is building a rig on a community lease adjoining the Standard's Brownrigg-Kellar, the property being known as the Crook, Wiley, Lambert community. The Fullerton's Bermudez No. 1 has passed the 400 foot mark without getting any showings. The Central Oil Co.'s Los Nietos No. 1 has dropped below 4500 feet, and aside from a few small showings production cannot be said to be in sight. The Petroleum Midway has re-drilled and deepened Foix No. 1 to 3808 and will put it on a production test. Foix No. 1 strated off making a lot of gas and some oil, the outcome of the well seems to be a question still. The Petroleum Midway staked locations for four rnew wells. Steinly 1, Baldwin 1, Pearce 1, and Spencer No. 1. The Universal Oil Co. has decided to deepen its Blanchard No. 1. At 3759 this well made 500 barrels of 30 gravity oil. A few hundred feet more hole will probably double the production.
