This new plant is regarded as one of the most elaborate and best equipped creamery properties in Southern California. The building is a substantial three-story structure with basement of steel and reinforced concrete located on a full city block all of which is owned by the company. Every detail of the company's requirements have been adequately cared for. The retail sales room, cashier's cage and drivers' headquarters are located on the first floor front, with general offices above. The remainder of the building houses the general creamery machinery, including a chemists' laboratory, pasteurizing plant, bottling department, ice cream factory and butter machinery, with separate cold storage rooms for each department.
The company does not manufacture ice for sale. It is made for its own use as a great quantity is necessary to the operation of a modern creamery plant of this size. The creamery's large trucks carry about fifteen tons of crushed ice daily to re-pack the ice cream cabinets in local stores.
In a third-building is the firm's garage, 60x250 feet, built substantially of sheet metal, with steel girders and cement flavor. In this perfectly fire-proof building is ample space to house the teams and trucks. In the building is a fully equipped machine shop, where truck and wagon body work is done and where all motor repairs are handled for the company.
Charles F. Hell, president of the company is also building a fine home in this county and it is interesting to note that a portion of the materials have been purchased in Anaheim.
