Motor To Camp Baldy
Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Schlotter and Miss Thelma, Mr. and Mrs. Arch Henry and family, of Garden Grove road, Mrs. Holser and Miss Thelma Holser, of Kansas City, formed a motor party to Camp Baldy Sunday. They found the usually attractive spot crowded to capacity and the journey was very tedious on account of congested traffic.
The party also had difficulty in finding a place where they might eat their luncheons as the management seemed indisposed to lend any assistance to the all day visitor, preferring, perhaps, the real vacationist as being of more financial benefit.
Similar reports have come from Camp Baldy through other motorists, many having obliged to change their plans for stopping there but have journeyed on to another recreation spot.

Washing
There’s no need this season to make a hot day hotter by working over a steaming wash-tub, or hanging out clothes in the blistering sun.
Send the washing to us.
We’ll wash the bundle in soft, fleecy suds, rinse in many changes of rainsoft water, iron the flatwork, starch those pieces that need it, and leave for you only the ironing of a few lighter things such as most women like to finish themselves. Or, at a slight additional cost we’ll iron anything.
Next washday simply gather together those soiled clothes, bundle them up, and give them to our representative when he calls. A phone call will bring him.
Our wet wash service is excellent, clothes received before 10 a.m. delivered same day.

City Briefs
Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Fivecoat and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. George Barnholt spent Sunday at Long Beach. In the morning they attended the services at the Grace Methodist church.
Mrs. Ferd Heying, Mrs. Wm. Heying of Baldwin Park, Mrs. H. Nelson and F. E. Dyekman have returned from a weeks outing at Murrieta Springs.
Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Bartlett and daughter Elizabeth Kodaking
In this day of vacation and kodaking it is well to look to the success of every exposure as a matter of economy quite as well as satisfaction. A local photographer is authority for the estimate of $200 per week spent in Anaheim in this interesting occupation, and of the amount almost one-fifth of the films are unfit for finishing through several causes.
Frequently an entire roll of films is blurred or blank waste: A line of suggestions made by this photographer may prevent such loss and the pictures prove a source of entertainment to ones friends and one's self for many months to come.
First, before starting on a trip, be sure the camera is in good working order. Use only the best grade of films; measure well the distance from the subject of looking into the camera's "eye"; be very careful to hold the camera steady, if using no tripod; give plenty of time, although not too much; move the shutter firmly; and use greatest care in loading and unloading the kodak. Depend upon a photographer to develop the films or complete the pictures, be sure he is a careful, competent person.
Observing these few simple rules will result in first class pictures which will give pleasure to the folks at home next winter when vacation season is over and the stories of the summer are retold.
