YORBA, July 22. (Spl.) The recent wedding of Miss Natalia Castillo, of Coronado Heights to Mr. Eugene Rivera of Atwood was one of the prettiest affairs of the kind seen ground here in a long time. The bride, who has seen only 15 summers, was more truly a spring poem than anything else and in her white silk mull dress, over silk crepe trimmed very effectively with wide, white ribbon, she truly looked as if she had stepped out from some painting of the symbol of purity, the artistically draped veil with orange blossoms en colfure and white gloves, slippers and stockings enhancing the effect. The groom had a regulation suit and accessories, also the best man, Mr. Angel Moreno, of Los Angeles. The bridesmaid Miss Nieves Rivera was lovely in a white crepe de chine dress with a white straw picture hat, white gloves, shoes and stockings. Both bride and bridesmaid carried huge shower bouquets of white carnations and ribbon. The couple were married at St Mary's church, Fullerton, by the rector, Rev. Fr. Prindville, officiating, the one ring ceremony being used. Just intimate friends and relatives of the contracting parties were present. A wedding dinner was served at the home of the groom's parents at Atwood, after which, the happy couple left for the near beach towns to be gone for a couple or three weeks. The bride had a traveling

RAY BARNSTORMER,
SO THIS ROLE EASY
"The mission of the photoplay is to portray real life, as it is lived."
That is the principle which dominates Charles Ray in selecting a story for picturization, in choosing the members of his casts, and in judging any piece of "business" or acting. This rule, from which Mr. Ray never deviates, is carried out all of his productions, even in his latest picture, "The Barnstormer," a First National release, which is coming to the California theatre today.
"The Barnstormer' is a radical departure from my customary kind of production," said Mr. Ray, "and to the critical eye it will be apparent that my principle has been carried out—despite what may appear to be exaggeration of some roles.
"In the first place, the time of the action is laid in a period which will not be remembered by the younger generation—before themotion pictures put out of business the small troupes of actors who played only a night in the smaller towns of the country.
"The actors comprising these troupes were as unlike the actors of today as day is unlike night. In the first place, they required little, if any, histrionic ability, for the managers of such companies had a supreme contempt for the audiences to which they played in the 'tank towns.' "The actors comprising these troupes were as unlike the actors of today as day is unlike night. In the first place, they required little, if any, histrionic ability, for the managers of such companies had a supreme contempt for the audiences to which they played in the 'tank towns.' Therefore, having no ability, they attempted to convince the natives of these towns that they had by the expedient of swaggering up and down the streets, assuming a pose that approached the ridiculous.
"And the natives always were impressed. Many a girl's heart has been faster upon seeing one of these actors strutting down Main-st. glancing about him superciliously and endeavoring to create the impression of wealth; whereas he very likely has not a cent in his pockets. They were ridiculous; but they were a part of the times."
"In 'The Barnstormer' you will see this type of ham actor caricatured, as it were. My acting will appear to some to be far fetched—in fact, to be overdone to a considerable degree. But I wasa barnstorm myself once upon a time, and I know the habits and vices of the breed.
