N entertainment unique in arrangement and perfect in appointment was given last evening by Liberty Court, Order of the Amaranth, in compliment to D. Jessurun, grand historian of the Grand Court of California. Many notables from California and from states as far east as Pennsylvania were present, among them Supreme Royal Matron of the World Lucy E. Lyons, of Pittsburg, Penna.; Supreme Associate Royal Matron Nellie McCall, of St. Paul; Grand Royal Patron Sidney Orme, Supreme Charity and Past Grand Royal Matron of Pennsylvania Sadie Scorer; Jeanette Krauss, of Columbus, O.; deputy supreme royal matron to Kentucky; Mrs. Graston, Cincinnati, deputy supreme royal matron to Ohio; Mrs. Godfrey, Denver, deputy supreme royal matron to Colorado; Minnie R. Snow, Los Angeles, deputy supreme royal matron to Nevada and junior past grand royal matron of California; Ernest L. Ford, Alhambra, supreme marshal Grace Dewett, Los Angeles, supreme historian.
Past supreme officers were Arthur Zeigler, Oakland, Junior past supreme royal patron; Fidelia Beek, past supreme royal matron.

K. I. Club Holds Meeting
A club composed of fun loving people, calling themselves the K. I. club, enjoyed a meeting Monday evening with Miss Julia Albertson, near Anaheim. Laughing, chatting and music were the joyous numbers of entertainment. A vocal duet, "Whispering Hope," by the Misses Flora Fladung and Julia Albertson, Miss Fladung accompanying on the piano, was much enjoyed by the young people. All than joined in singing popular songs, accompanied by Miss Albertson. After considerable time passed in singing, the hostess served delightful refreshments. Guests were the Misses Leda and Rachael Brawley, Elise Warfield., Flora Fladung, and the Messrs Willard Stanley, Charles Brawley, John Flandung, who, with the hostess, Miss Albertson, made a happy and congenial company.
Martes Club Meets
The Martes club, meeting with Mrs. Rose Van Horn yesterday, had a very enjoyable hour over their favorite game, five hundred. Three tables were played, prizes going to Mrs. Henry Heying, who kindly substituted for an absent member; second to Mrs. Richard Groos, and consolation to Mrs. Emma Gibben.
After the games light refreshments were served. The rooms were prettily decorated with summer flowers of rare variety, which won remarks of admiration from the guests.
Playing were the Mesdames R. N. Law, W. S. Kaufer, M. M. Keithley, Herman Bremer, Jessie Black, Chae. Nevin, Henry Heying, Richard Groos, Emma Gibben, William Lake and Miss Jean McElhaney, and the hostess, Mrs. Van Horn.

A merry party of friends and relatives motored to Orange County Park yesterday for all day outing and picnic. At noon the tables were spread with delicious things.

Arrangements in charge of Mrs. Eva Boyd, who with her assistants, Mrs. Blanche Daniels, Mrs. Helen Kellogg, Mrs. Kittle Smith, George Jackson and Guy Daniels gave a most pleasing arrangement in decorative motif. Rainbow effect was obtained by using streamers and drops of the pastel shades in garlands.
A program, after the style of a song review, was afterward declared to be one of the best and most entertaining ever heard. Mrs. Carrie Lou Sutherland sang several numbers during which the characters passed in review, delineating the songs. Prior, however, Miss Jeanette Jessurun, accompanied by Miss Edna Hochull on the piano, and Roscoe Corley, with Miss Elva Sonnefeld at the piano, sang beautifully.
With Miss Sonnefeld at the piano, Mr. Will Steadman of Canada, on the violin and Venetta Robb, of Fullerton; the accompaniments were wonderfully fine. "The Pink Lady," by Minnie R. Snow; "Silver Threads Among the Gold," Mrs. Osa Smith and Harry Snow; "School Days," Vanetta Robb and her girl chum; "Daisies Won't Tell," Mr. and Mrs. Rex Gibson; "The Vamp," Mr. Godfrey, Denver; "An Old-Fashioned Girl," Esther Pember; "California," May McCormack, Los Angeles; and "Star Spangled Banner," A. Walter, Santa Ana, were portrayed in costume and manner, most efficiently.
Going to the banquet room, the color effect was continued and the refreshment served was ice cream in tiny flower pots, sprinkled over with chocolate "soil" from which sprang a begonia in bloom. Cakes inscribed "O of A" were served with the cream.
Mr. Jessurun was presented with many handsome gifts for personal use, a leather portfolio with his name inscribed in gold letters; a box of organs, two thernos bottles, a book, and not overlooking his home, wherein his family may be included in the joy of the gifts, a lovely picture for the wall and a potted fern were included in the list. Some of the gifts were made by the state officers, others by the local court and individual from the guests.
Playing were the Mesdames R. N. Lawn, W. S. Kaufer, M. M. Keithley, Herman Bremer, Jessie Black, Chae. Nevin, Henry Heyling, Richard Groos, Emma Gribben, William Lake and Miss Jean McElhaney, and the hostess, Mrs. Van Horn.
Pleasant Day In Park

Hoop and son, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Yost and family, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Yost and family, and Mr. and Mrs. George Yost and family.
Legion Entertains Ladies
A special meeting of the American Legion Auxiliary has been called for next Tuesday in the club rooms.
The business transpired last evening at the auxiliary meeting and after the session the ladies were entertained by the men in their club rooms.
A special request was made to all members of the Auxiliary to appear in uniform at the funeral services of the ex-service man, Otto M. Scheue, whose services will be held Friday afternoon.
Annual Picnic Friday
The congregation at Sunday school of the First Christian church is completing plans for the big annual picnic which will be held Friday in Orange county park. A call has been made for autos, and it is carnely hoped that many will respond. Be at the church at 8 o'clock, so the cars may be filled and ready to leave not later than 8:30.
Nearly wedges to Reside Here
Of interest to Anaheim young folk is the announcement of the wedding of Miss Blanche Daykin and C. H. Pettigrew both of Fullerton, which occurred in Santa Barbara on July 10th. The young couple slipped away from their friends and went to teh northern city where they obtained a license and were married by the Prebayterian minister.
Mr. Pettigrew is connected with the Union Oil Company and when a suitable location is found they will reside in Anaheim. Both are well known in Anaheim as well as Fullerton.

Married In Anaheim
Mr. Charles Pratt, of Oakland, and Miss Tarlie Robertson, of Holtville, were married last evening at 7 o'clock by Rev. J. H. Peters, of Grace church, in the parsonage. The couple was accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Joe Rye, Mr. Rye, who is the cousin of the groom, is connected with the George Dunton garage in Anaheim, but resides in Santa Ana.
Immediately after the ceremony they left for a honeymoon in San Francisco, after which they will reside in San Diego, where the groom is an auto mechanic.

FIANCE'S FAMILY AT DINNER
Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Balch are entertaining at dinner this evening Mr. Reginald Raynard, of Santa Monica, the fiancee of Miss Brenda Balch, their daughter. Members of the young man's family will also be guests, and his friend, William Perkins, of Germantown, Penna., who is his house guest.
Miss Balch, who has passed much of her time in Los Angeles, where she was employed in a federal reserve bank. She, however, is now at home arranging for her marriage, which will take place in September.

Southgate Chapter, O.E.S., in Los Angeles, observed matrons and parrons night last evening with a most interesting program. Professional entertainers had been secured who gave a varied list of numbers.
Among the many attending from nearby chapters were Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Metcalf, Mrs. J. P. Brastad and Mrs. Robert Beat, of Chispa chapter, Anaheim.

The ladies of the Helpers Guild of St. Michael's church are asked to keep in mind the meeting tomorrow (Thursday) at 2:30 o'clock in Guild hall. As many as possible are requested to attend, as the meeting is one quite worth while.

Lawn Party and Social
The old time social and lawn party to be given Friday evening at the Brockhurst home of Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Hein, is going to be an elaborate and delightful affair. There will be no reason for anyone's absence, as autos will be at the church for transportation of everyone who has no other way to go at 7:30. The pretty Hein lawn is going to be "prettied up" for the occasion with lights, cozy corners, chairs and tables.
