DALLUGGE NO. 1 IS HEAVY PRODUCER
With Oil Operators
Santa Fe Springs has particularly redeemed itself with the Amalgamated Oil Company's Dallugge No. 1 coming back a 2500-3000 barrel well. Cleaned out and redrilled the 4063 foot well was plugged back to 3965 and 6½ pc-set. The result was bringing in of well that started off with an initial production of 110 barrels an hour.
Owing to the failure of the Union Oil Company's Flood well to show any indications of oil at 4500 feet a number of wells in the north-west side of the field are standing pending developments. The Fullerton Oil Company has suspended temporarily at 3940, and the Central Oil Co. at 4069. The Petroleum Midway's Bell No. 1 at a little better than 4200 is also standing suspended.
The General Petroleum's Santa Fe No. 4 completed at 3940 i the week's head liner at Santa Fe Springs. This big well started off at a little better than 1600 barrels and is producing 22.2 gravity oil.
The Shell Company brought in a nice high gravity well at G. H. N. No. 1. This producer completed at 3780 is making close to 600 barrels of 29 gravity oil. The oil is coming clean from the sands, and the well is flowing nicely.
The Petroleum Midway's Standlee drilling in the oil sand at 3600 is scheduled for Santa Fe Springs' next big well. This well has been showing up exceptionally good and justifies the prediction made for it.
The Nevada-Ventura sprung another surprise by heaving the cement plug up into the pipe several hundred feet. This action would indicate there is something under the plug and that as soon as the well can be mudded up and water test made, that something will make its appearance. The 8½ was set at 3608 in the Nevada-Ventura after good showings were found that made the setting of pipe at this depth a wise move.
The Standard's Brownrigg-Kella is a small but very high gravity well. Completed at 4730 the BK well started off producing a little better than 20 barrels of 35 gravity. This well

other surprise by heaving the cement plug up into the pipe several hundred feet. The Standard's Brownrigg-Kellar is a small but very high gravity well. Completed at 4730 the BK well started off producing a little better than 20 barrels of 35 gravity. This well was reported a few days ago as doing 600 barrels and making 38 gravity oil. While the well is still in reality on a production test there is considerable reason to believe that it will get under way soon and produce more oil.
Gas showings in the Scientific continue to attract a lot of interest and speculation. Gas showings have been rather frequent from 2867 to the present depth of 3145. Should the Scientific come into production under 4000 a lot of geological "dope" will be upset.
The Standard's new producer has put a lot of faith in this new field. Torrance Community No. 1 completed at 3575 is producing into theump and the output has been estimated at 500 barrels. The oil is 15 gravity and is exceptionally clean for a low grade oil.
New work for the week at Redondo includes the rigging up being done by the Fullerton Oil Company on the Waddell, the starting of a rig on the Watson property by the Amalgamated, and the rigging up of Carson 1 by the General Petroleum.
The Athens on the Hill development was augmented by the Potter Oil Company getting the material on the ground for a rig to go up on the corner of 31st street and Figueroa.

Attacking troops under Col. Chirife, penetrated the city's defenses yesterday and there was some fighting in the streets before the invaders were driven out. Cannonading lasted throughout the day. A report that the government had offered to capitulate to the rebels to the extent of transferring the presidency of Paraguay to Rojas was circulated by Col. Chirife's headquarters, where it was said the offer had been refused.
