SPLENDID PICTURE AT THE CALIFORNIA
Tonight will see the close of that splendid picture at the California theatre starring beautiful Marion Davies entitled "Beauty's Worth." It is one of those rare pictures you hear so much about, but seldom see. Better hurry and see it tonight.
Coming tomorrow only, one of the greatest vaudeville bills ever presented in this city will grace the stage at the California. The topliner is the great Three Romano Sisters, known throughout the civilized world. These girls are wizards at dancing, singing and "other stuff, and should prove a riot here.
Another act with class will be Janis and Chaplow, direct from the Orpheum in their comedy skit. It's shappy and full of laughs and lots of hearty applause.
Harry LaVail and Sister will distort themselves upon a bunch of apparatus, and will make your hair stand upon end. This act is another big timer.
Ward and Hall have a comedy act that will create lots of laughs, anne Margie Carson, the wonder girl with the double voice will please you mightily. In addition, the program includes a dandy feature picture come early.

OLD HANGMAN'S TREE CUT DOWN FOR SAFETY
GOSHEN, N. Y., June 27. — To avoid accident, a huge tree in the church yard here has been cut down and a historic landmark thereby removed.
It was 200 years old and badly decayed. From its branches, in 1779, was hung Cladius Smith, a notorious outlaw, whose exploits struck terror into this section in Revolutionary war days.
It was a cottonwood.
If it's from Witmau's it’s good.
