START CLEMENTINE PAVING PLAN SOON
City council will probably start the ball rolling for paving of Clementine-at Cypress-st to Broadway at the next meeting. It now has jurisdiction in the matter, the time for filling formal protest by property owners having passed without legal objection.
Because of the shortage in pipe for water mains and sewers which must be laid first, and the further fact that the contract awarded for such this week will not be delivered until October, it is probable that little if any more paving will be done before next spring, city officials intimated today.
