BRIDE CHOOSES
FLAG DAY AS HER
WEDDING DATE
FLAG day was the June date for a very pretty wedding which was solemnized at high noon when Mrs. Mary H. Murdoch became the bride of Mr. H. Morningstar, at the Villa Park name of the bride. Rev. L. Potter Hitchcock, pastor of the Villa Park Congregational church, officiated with the double ring ceremony.
The home was beautifully decorated, as the season for flowers is at its height. Deference was also paid the patriotic day in the generous use of flags about the rooms, and in the color motif of red, white and blue, in the three-course dinner, which was served after the informal reception.
The bride was gowned in a white Canton crepe with fringe, and carried a shower bouquet of Cecil Brunners and fern. She was attended by Miss Tillie Morningstar, sister of the groom, who wore a gown of blue and tan Tussah silk and carried pink sweet pons.
Mr. Louis Tetzlaff, of Olive, a long-time and true friend of the groom, acted as best man. Mrs. William Eathgate played the wedding march from Lohengrin as the bridal party took their places at the improvised altar.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Morningstar are well known in Orange county, he having been a successful and prominent rancher near Anaheim for years. The bride has lived in Villa Park and Orange a long while and has always been held in highest esteem among the many friends she has made.

Mrs. Eloisa R. Peralta of Olinda spent a couple of weeks, recently with Mrs. Felipa Rodriguez.
Mrs. Vicenta G. de Los Reyes, who suffered a stroke, and for some days thereafter had her life despaired of, is, we are glad to say, very much better. What made it most serious in the minds of her numerous family and friends, is, that the estimable lady is 84 years old and—they thought,—more apt to succumb than a younger person would; but, fortunately she seems to be winning the fight thus far, and we earnestly pray that she may prove herself the victor.
Miss Hermanie Bayha was in L. A. transacting business last week, from thence going to the Crown City for a short pleasure trip.
Mr. Walter Stadlegger was another city visitor.
Mr. J. J. de La Guerra, came over from Hollywood, to see, as he averred, his 'Dream Girl,' but she was away, so all he saw was his dream (unful-filled) but not The Girl.
Mrs. Nonie Peralta of the Santa Fe lease in Olinda was a recent Yorba visitor, with Mrs. A. D. Velasco.
The regular weekly road show and vaudeville revue is seen today at the California. It features an aggregation of stage talent seldom seen in Anaheim. There is an unusual photoplay offering "Chivalrous Charlie."
Master Louis A. Velasco has presented his proud parents Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Velasco with a beautiful quartered-oak library table, his own handiwork at the manual arts of F. U. H. S. and which was on exhibition at that place on Thursday along with other work from the same department. It is surely a fine piece of work.
Bennie Yorba was in the Angel City today. Bennie has been a very proud man since the Orange show as Bennie Jr., won a blue ribbon, and Bennie, Sr., says that "no wonder, for Jr., is sure a 'chip off the old Block.'" (We think so too,Bennie, so let's make it unanimous.)
Best For Service
and for Style
The money you pay for clothes ought to get several important things.
Not style alone; not merely "look good when new." Long service is one of the things you pay for. And style isn't much if the clothes don't keep shape and look stylish after you wear them a few weeks.
Hart Schaffner & Marx clothes are made for service; of fine fabrics, tailored to keep shape. You ought never to wear any others.
