COUNTY POULTRY
DAYS JUNE 19 AND 20
The Poultry Extension Committee of the Farm Bureau in cooperation with the Assistant Farm Advisor, is planning a two-day session to demonstrate all five points of poultry husbandry.
Mr. W. R. Newton, poultry specialist from the university, will be the headliner on each day's program and will endeavor to give the educational features necessary for the maintenance of the poultry industry.

CYPRESS NEWS
CYPRESS, June 14. (Spl.) Cypress farm is getting on the map. The new garage building is about completed. This building is a credit to any town. The new school house is progressing rapidly. There is a large force of men at work and the new building will be complete for the fall term of school.
C. Lanler has his new residence about complete. This is a modern up to date building and adds to our growing residence section.
CASEY, THE COP
EX-COMEDIAN HIT AS TRAGEDIAN NOW
A former favorite film fun-maker scores one of the dramatic hits in "Foolish Wilves," the Universal Film Company's sensational million-dollar motion picture which shows tonight for the last time at the California.
Doubtless many film fans with good memories will note something familiar in the features of the maid, Maruschka, who is the much-abused servant in the villa of the bogus Russian nobles at Monte Carlo. She plays the Russian peasant so perfectly, and with doglike devotion submits to being abused and robbed until finally, in a fit of jealous rage she becomes a homicidal maniac and sets fire to the tower where Count Sergius is entertaining his latest conquest.
It is difficult to believe that this is the same Dale Fuller who used to convulse audiences in Mack Sennett comedies, playing comedy servant girls opposite Charles Murray. Yet such is the case, and references to old program files show that Miss Fuller made her stage deputy in "The Flirting Princess," with "Orl."
CYPRESS, June 14. (Spl.) Cypress Town is getting on the map. The town garage building is about completed. This building is a credit to any town. The new school house is progressing rapidly. There is a large force of men at work and the new building will be complete for the fall term of school.
C. Lanier has his new residence about complete. This is a modern up to date building and adds to our growing residence section.
Sabe Robison will erect a modern residence just as soon as his present resident is moved to the church property.
All in all Cypress is enjoying a long over-due building boom. We have location, water, land, gas and electricity. We have started, just watch our smoke.
The Cypress baseball team journeyed over to Los Alamitos Sunday and illustrated to the sugar boys just how the national game is played. The Cypress boys believe with a little more practice they will be able to defeat the married men.
Mrs. M. Armstrong, who with her two small children have been visiting with the Moseys, left for their home in Iowa Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. H. La Rue and Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Miller motored to Camp Baldy and Ice House Canyon Sunday.
Mrs. C. Lamblin was the hostess at the birthday party given in honor of the little niece Thelma Saturday being at which the grown ups attended as well as the little folks. The singing was spent in merrymaking for the little folk and a talk feast for the older ones. Home made ice cream, cake and candies were served during the evening.
Morning Folks:
Motored up to Ice House Canyon Sunday. Ate fried chicken and the trimmings topped off with strawberries and cream.
Listened to the singing waters, dreamed in the warm sunshine and otherwise had a good time.
There is something restful in the songs of the trees and the streams. It does one good to get away from the factly, and with doglike devotion submits to being abused and robbed until finally, in a fit of jealous rage she becomes a homicidal maniac and sets fire to the tower where Count Sergius is entertaining his latest conquest.
It is difficult to believe that this is the same Dale Fuller who used to convulse audiences in Mack Sennett comedies, playing comedy servant girls opposite Charles Murray. Yet such is the case, and references to old program files show that Miss Fuller made her stage deput in "The Flirting Princess," with "Old King Harry Bulger." She also played in the Murray and Mack productions.
For three years Miss Fuller was a favorite funmaker in film faces, until an accident laid her up for two long years. Whether during that period of enforced idleness she developed the latent dramatic talent which is said to evist in every comedian, or whether, after all, "the truest laughter always trembles on the verge of tears." The fact is evident in "Foolish Wives," that Dale Fuller is an emotional actress. In a scene of startling "close-ups" she portrays the birth of madness in the bewildered brain of the poor peasant girl, and her action in the incendiary scene up to the time of her final exit is fairly hair-raising. This is only one of the novel sensations in "Foolish Wives."

works of man. There is nothing so restful as nature.
The person that can not enjoy nature is a poor stick indeed. Some people can not enjoy their own company long enough to get acquainted with nature.
To me a day in mountains is a priceless tonic. Yours—SARGUM SPROUT.
