That the Annual Orange County
Y. M. C. A. Track and Field meet
held Saturday afternoon was a success was evidenced by the number of participants and the enthusiasm shown—217 individual entries in the meet, divided into four classes with 27 events making practically four meets running simultaneously.
The club winners for the day proved to be the Little Sunshine Club of Yorba Linda. Fred Johnson, leader, who not only carried home the Garden Grove cup, but the high individual pennant for the meet and the high individual pennants in two classes, with a total score of 64 points.

WATER SYSTEM
WORK IS PUSHED
Work is progressing satisfactorily in the building of the new city reservoir and the installation of a new city water system with which the Fullertonites are preparing to take care of a population double or treble their present aggregation, it was learned today at the office of Ben Dupuy, city engineer.
Practically all the main system has been installed, and the work is rapidly drawing towards completion at the new reservoir on Hillcrest, it is stated, though the end is not in sight. The entire water system and the reservoir are expected to be completed by or shortly past the first of June.
Work is now going on in the laying of the pipe lines in the new city subdivisions, many of which are being supplied with water for the first time. The growth of Fullerton during the past year has been almost phenomenal, although there has been a slight lull in reality activities recently, and all the new subdivisions have been sold almost as soon as they were placed on the market. The attractiveness of these will be greatly added to by the new water system. Bonds for the new system amounted to $280,000, and it is expected that this has been a pretty fair estimate of the cost.

NATIONAL BICYCLE WEEK CELEBRATED
National Bicycle Week, April 29 to May 6, is being celebrated in fitting style throughout the country. Unlike the average special weeks set aside by many industries to popularize an article, National Bicycle Week is really a week of sport and recreation. It is the opening season in most parts of the country for bicycle riding.
According to reports received from the Cycle Trades of America, Inc., of New York, under whose auspices National Bicycle Week is held, bicycle dealers in every important city and town in the United States are largely organized to foster the movement of increasing bicycle riding in their respective localities by holding races, parades, treasure hunts, hare and hound chases, secret time runs and other activities featuring bicycles. Last year, it is said, many events took place during National Bicycle Week that were a source of much interest and enthusiasm. Noteworthy among these cities that celebrated the occasion in appropriate style were Denver, Colo., where a big cycle road race was held, starting and finishing right in the heart of the city; Bridgeport, Conn., where a large bicycle parade was staged, headed by Mayor Wilson on a brand new bicycle, and Newark, N.J., where several thousand persons pedalled in a parade through busy Broad-st., the affair culminating in a series of track races at Weequahie park.
Some of the other towns that played a prominent part in putting over that week were Mongomery, Ala., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, York, Pa., Pitts-
