The dependability of this section has been thoroughly tested time and again. The Thermal Belt escaped in the famous freeze of 1913 and again in the freeze of this year. The El Camino district and Orange county are practically the only places in California where the citrus fruits escaped.
The average rainfall is 20 inches and the average temperature is virtually the same as Orange county.
With a climate equal to Southern California and a production greater than the best section of the San Joaquin, El Camino lands will soon be among the most valuable in the state.

Gentlemen:
It has been one month today since I visited your ranch at Gerber where I purchased twenty acres of land, which I intend to plant to trees soon, and I want to say that I found everything just as it had been recommended by your agents and advertised in your booklet. I can recommend it to anyone as being very good land, that, together with the abundance of water you have for irrigation and the fine climate appealed to me very much.
I intend to make that my home although I have a 70-acre farm in Anaheim, Orange county, and a 100-acre farm near Corona. I consider Tehama county a much nicer and healthier place to live.
I was very much impressed to note the oranges do so well there and that you never have to use smudge pots, also that you are not bothered with scale on the orange and olive trees as we have in Southern California. I consider your early climate for fruit a big asset as I know that the early fruit brings a very good price.
I am anxious to get moved there as it will be a treat to me to live in a country where you are not bothered with the fog.
