GOODBYE PARTY FOR DEPARTING MEMBER 'BUNCH' COMPLIMENTING her mother, Mrs. William Donald, who left this morning for her home in Wyoming after a three months' visit here, Mrs. Robert Wilson invited, in the "Hubbard Bunch," a small party of close friends, Saturday afternoon, who formerly lived in the Hubbard apartments. The Wilsons now reside in the Colonial apartments and other members of the "bunch" have relocated in various places, some out of town, so this reunion was a very happy occasion, although regret was felt at the departure of one of them. Busy fingers kept time with lively conversation, each guest recounting incidents occurring since the last gathering. At 4:30 Mrs. Wilson assisted by her young daughters, served a splendid luncheon. Composing the "bunch" were the honoree, Mrs. Donald, Mrs. D. J. Pitts Mrs. Henry Abplanalp, Mrs. Schmeltzer, Miss Letitia Parks, of Anaheim, and Mrs. Carl Thresher, of Santa Ana who, with the hostess, Mrs. Wilson, makes a most congenial company. JUNIOR E. L. PROSPERING The Junior Epworth League of White Temple, met Sunday afternoon, and for a new organization, is rapidly justifying its existence. Children from the ages of 6 to 14, are included in the membership, and are showing especial interest in the Sunday afternoon meetings, yesterday being the third meeting. Mrs. Flavel Smith is leader and makes the lesson most interesting. The organization makes a special place for itself, as the young people of these years are too young for the senior league and too old for the society composed of the small children. INTERESTING ADDRESS BY MISSIONARY EXCELLENT SUNDAY MUSIC A particularly fine program of music was heard at White Temple church yesterday morning when Mrs. Marie G. Bishop, of Santa Ana, sang the offertory solo, "The Voice In the Wilderness," by John Prindle Scott. Mrs. Bishop has a wonderfully rich voice and a most pleasing personality. The prelude, "Largo," was played by the organist, Dale Hamilton Evans by request, at the morning service. In the evening Mr. Ellis Rhodes was at his best in "Lead Kindly Light," by Hawley, Mrs. James Martin Hitchcock sang the soprano solo in the anthem "Must Jesus Bear the Cross Alone?" by Brackett. A rousing song service was conducted by Mr. Rhodes, in which almost every member of the congregation participated. A special program is being prepared for next Sunday also. ALL DAY FIDELIS MEETING TOMORROW The Fidelis class of the White Temple will hold an all-day meeting tomorrow with Mrs. Claude West, 222 East Alberta street. Cars will be at the church at 10 a.m. for all who wish to go. Each member is asked to bring a covered dish for luncheon at noon.
