DAILY GREETINGS TO OUR READERS
The dying night-breeze harping o'er the hills,
Striking the strings of nature—rock and tree—
The best and earliest lyres of harmony,
With echo for their chorus. —Byron.
The Arms Conference keeps right on heartlessly disappointing its enemies.
That New Year's resolution already is beginning to tug hard at will-power.
The man who cannot successfully control himself is not fit to control others.
The proper way for any citizen to treat his obligation to vote is not to evade it.
The mistakes, blunders and failures of today should be made the ladder-rungs for the success of tomorrow.
The person who gets beyond listening to suggestions and advice, is not beyond making mistakes and failures.
In every move it has made or proposed, in the Arms Conference, the United States has impressed the world favorably.
Development of the automobile and extension of its use are phenomena of this generation. Nothing so astounding has been witnessed in modern times.
American service men of the World War appreciate appreciation shown them by the nation.
BALDNESS IS CURABLE. 'TIS SAID —OH JOY!
The Ancient and Honorable and Numerous Society of Bald Heads, having in its ranks some of the most distinguished of men is given words of hope by the first vice-president of the International Institute of Applied Psychology. "If you are bald, grow a new crop of hair!" said this savant to an assemblage of dentists. Which sounds much like somebody megaphoning to a man who could not swim, dropped in mid-Pacific, with nothing floating near him but a straw. "Save yourself!" "Grow a new crop of hair!" shouted at the bald-pate contingent may be startling enough, but it is far from convincing or reassuring. Certainly, many of them—most of them—are interested in growing a new crop of hair—but how? "Eat the sort of food that grows hair!" roars this enthusiastic foe of baldness. And still the bald-heads are left scratching, in perplexity, the barren surface where hair would be welcomed, but where it scornfully refuses to vegetate. "Eat the sort of food that grows hair—" Is that all we are to be told? Then are we lost to the hope of luxuriant hirsute head-dress?" gasp the hairless ones. But hold! Once more the savant speaks: "If a baby were fed on cooked food from the start of his life, he would never have any hair."
Aha! Now you have it, ye possessors of hair-deserted heads! Eat it raw! Take your turnips and carrots and cabbage and "spuds" right from the hand of Nature and keep them innocent of the boiling-pot or the bain-pan—eat them uncooked. Are you ready to pay the price of this "cure"? Or would you prefer to rock along through life devoid of a fine crop of hair, but with your vegetables, "an everything," cooked to your taste? Perhaps it would be well to follow the regular order in the transfer office and Reo Speed Orange-co to Mays yesterday, with news events on Auto Row.
The new app ready rapidly places Dale & Co. at its position in its utors of Packard of Orange-co, important top attractions.

Development of the automobile and extension of its use are phenomena of this generation. Nothing so astounding has been witnessed in modern times.
American service men of the World War appreciate appreciation shown them by the nation. But they feel that this appreciation, in some measure, should be preceded by the dollar mark. Men and families cannot live on mere sentiment.

In the Days of the Santa Fe Trail
Perhaps those were the days, when the ox-drawn canvas-covered "prairie schooner" plodded across the desert and up over tortuous mountain passes to the golden west, but—who wants to take a trip like that today?
With an up-to-date car now, a membership in the Orange County Auto Club or insurance protection and thorough information on roads and traffic rules, one can travel the length and breadth of the good old state without hardship.

DALE & CO. OBTAIN
COUNTY REO AGENCY
Transfer of the Reo automobile and Reo Speed Wagon franchise for Orange-co to Dale & Co., announced yesterday, was one of the week's news events of great interest along Auto Row.
The new agency, added to its already rapidly expanding business, places Dale & Co. in a very substantial position it is held, being distributors of Packard and Reo cars for all of Orange-co, in addition to its important top and body building activities.
A. W. Williams, proprietor of the Wass Auto Co., and who has held the Reo franchise here for the past three years, has disposed of his interest to Dale & Co., it is announced, and Mr. Williams will have closed out all details of his business here by this evening. Williams, it is said, will return to Los Angeles, having been tendered an attractive offer by the Reo Motor Car Co.
The new Reo sales and agency headquarters will be at 418-28 West Fifth-st in the large Dale plant, where Reo owners are invited to call. A branch office is also being established in Anaheim at 314 West Center-st.
"The Reo product is such that this franchise is considered an asset of great value," said Mr. Dale today, "and we are proud of the new distinction conferred upon us. Reo has first choice of distributors everywhere and that from all applicants for this territory we have been selected is an honor of which we are justly proud.
"We will handle the full Reo line, which consists of the following: five-pasenger touring car, seven-pasenger touring car, and three-pasenger roadster, all prices at $1855; three-pasenger doctors coupe, price at $2170; five-pasenger sedan at $2735; and four-pasenger coupe at $2655 also the world-famous Reo Speed Wagon, original alike of its type and title and service."
