FOR HAPPY DAY
NOTHER of the nice dinner parties will occur tomorrow when Mr. and Mrs. A. Rimpau will entertain their five children and their families. All had such a perfectly wonderful time on Xmas day that the affair will be repeated on New Year's day. The great American bird will be the main course and this will be accompanied with all the fixin's. They are planning on taking an auto tour to the afternoon if the weather permits. The children are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Rimpau and two daughters, of Los Angeles; Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Clark and two daughters; Mr. and Mrs. Bob Rimpau and two sons; Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Olmstead and two sons and Steven Rimpau and the parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Rimpau.
EASTERN GUEST COMING
Mrs. M. E. Jordon will arrive Monday to pass a month or more with her niece, Mrs. Arthur Arnold May, and his band. Mrs. Jordon's home is in Omaha, Neb. The Mays are planning to attend the Tournament of Roses parade and the foot ball game in Pasadena New Year's.
YOUNG PEOPLE ENTERTAINED AT PATRICK HOME
At the home of her parents, on Vine street, Miss Thelma Patrick entertained with a party last evening for the pleasure of her friends. Seasonal decorations of the holidays were very prettily used throughout the rooms. The early evening hours were devoted to the playing of various kinds of games. To the strains of music played by popular members of the young set on the piano and violin, the guests dancing until a late hour, after which refreshments were served. The guest list included the Misses Eula Hammon, Iris McKinney, Catherine Minney, Floma Schneidler, Lulu Hammon, Leona Patrick and Ruth Ensign; the Measrs Bud Humphrey, Fred Cleary, Elmer Johnston, August and Paul, Welsh, Robert and Fred Ausbry, Lawrence Welsh, Ralph Patrick, Mr. and Mrs. Welsh, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick, Mrs. Johnston and the delightful hostess, Miss Thelma Patrick.
Misses Julia Stiers and Ruth Stratton of Clairmont are spending the week-end at the Gordon home on Bush-st.
CANTATA REPEAT

CANTATA REPEATED SUNDAY MORNING
"The Coming of the King," the beautiful cantata by Dudley Buck, will be rendered Sunday morning at the usual hour of service, instead of in the evening, as formerly planned. The choir repeats the entertainment by request, it having been sung for Christmas entertainment.
The sermon subject for the evening will be "Beyond Repair," the pastor speaking.
NEW LIBRARY SCHEDULE
A new schedule of opening hours at the Public Library has been arranged, which it is hoped by those in charge, will be much appreciated by the public. Beginning Tuesday, Jan. 3rd, the library will open at 9 a.m. and remain open all day until 9 p.m. The reading rooms will be open on Sunday afternoons from 2 to 5, as they are now. Another assistant will be employed to help with the work.
WATCH NIGHT SERVICES AT BROADWAY M.E. CHURCH
Services at the West Broadway M.E. church will be conducted at 11 o'clock a.m. tomorrow, the topic being "Writing a New Book." In the evening Rev. Jacoby has chosen for his subject, "How Can We Make 1922 Count for Greater Things?"
A watch night service will be held this evening from 10 to 12 o'clock in the church. The first hour will be given over to the societies of the church, which will furnish the program. During the next hour the pastor will give a sermon, followed by a consecration service.
TO TELL OF CHILDREN'S HOMES
Rev. G. W. Kohlenberger will add to the delight of the New Year's Eve services when he will address the congregation and show pictures of the different children's homes, among them being the "Anaheim Home," in Kelkheim, Germany, in which local interests center. From 8 to 10 o'clock, Rev. Leuschner, pastor of the German Baptist church, will hold services. Following the address the pictures will be distributed among the congregation, gratis. These homes are maintained for the care of needy children, both physically and financially.

Teland Eryman is among the college chapse home from college for the holidays.
Mrs. Lee Eicholtz and Miss Wilma O'Rourke have returned from a several days visit with friends in Los Angeles.
Misses Exelyn and Lillian Degryse left early this afternoon for South Pasadena, where they will be the guests of Miss Elsie Peet.
Miss Violet Neal and Mrs. Tom Losey will spend Monday in Pasadena, taking in the Tournament of Roses parade.
Mrs. Alice Leisure and Mrs. J. H. Richie have returned from several days visit with friends in Los Angeles. They were friends in Nebraska.
Miss Hilda Gordon spent several days last week with friends in Clairmont.
Mr. and Mrs. Engene Gordon and their guests the Misses Ruth Stratton and Julie Stiers will motor to San Pedro tomorrow. On Monday they will go to the parade in Pasadena.
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Shaw will spend the afternoon in Los Angeles.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Yorba and Mr., and Mrs. J. Lakeman will be dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Leep tomorrow for a New Year's dinner.
Mrs. L. W. Baggott and Mrs. A. Leasa will go to San Bernardino tomorrow to take dinner with their parents. They will be joined on Monday by Mr. Leasa who will accompany the women home.
Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Pitts, after having been storm bound in San Diego for the past several days have now arrived safely at home.
The friends of Mrs. A. Reltnour will be glad to know that she is much improved following a recent stroke.

For washing out bottles a fountain device has been invented to be attached to any faucet and operated by pressing a bottle down on it.
REGIONAL W.C.T.U.CONFERENCES
The Women's Christian Temperance Union of Southern California, is anticipating a series of Regional conferences, one to be held in each county except Los Angeles, which will have four of the meetings. The meeting for Orange county will occur in Santa Ana, Jan'y 12 and 13.State President Mrs. Eva C. Wheeler recording secretary, Mrs. Hattie Young and national lecturer, Miss Margaret Bills, are some of the prominent W.C.T.U.com members who will appear on the program.
Anaheim will be favored with a visit from Mrs. Wheeler, the state president, who will appear in the White Temple Tuesday, Jan. 10, to deliver an address. Her subject is, "Lands Beneath the Southern Cross." Her extensive travel in foreign lands has given her a fund of knowledge which she imparts from the platform in a most interesting way.
