INSTALLS OFFICERS
The big annual installation dinner of the Eastern Star occurred Saturday night at the Masonic temple in Fullerton, being served at 6:30. There was an attendance of about 400 people. The event was regarded at the reunion of Fullerton Eastern Star family, numbering something like 425 members. Following the banquet there was the annual installation of officers. Officers installed were: Mrs. Ville Elson, worthy matron; Charles Elson, worthy patron; Rachael Robertson, associate matron; Louvena McBride, secretary; Kittle K. Smith, treasurer; Phyllis McKee, conductress; Pearl Garrison, associate conductors; Lottie Dreyer, chaplin; Laura B. Lilley, Marshal; Pearl Oswald, organist; Elva Robertson, point of Adah; Genevieve Jones, point of Ruth; Margaret Tits, point of Esther; Blanche Wester, point of Martha; Sazanne McAulay, electra; Edna Blackford, warder; Elljah Rhynalds, sentinel.
CUTS CORNER; FINED $10
Alphone Emila was haled before Judge French in the Fullerton police court this morning and charged with cutting the corner in his car. He was fined $10. He is from Los Angeles.
Clarence Davenpart of Fullerton was also arraigned on the charge of getting drunk. He was fined $15, and sentenced to 30 days in the Orange-co jail at Santa Ana. The jail sentence was suspended.

LEGION ELECTION TUESDAY
The Fullerton Post of the American Legion will hold its regular meeting tomorrow night. The annual election of officers will be held.
EDW. T. MARSHALL DIES
Edward T. Marshall, 75, who has resided in Fullerton for some time, died last night. Decedent is survived by his widow. Funeral service will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the McAulay funeral parlors, under the auspices of the I. O. O. F. The body will be sent to Dales, Oregon, for interment.
ATTEND RIVERSIDE BANQUET
A score or more Fullerton people attended the closing meeting of the League of the Southwest at Riverside Saturday evening, when U. S. Senator Hiram Johnson an dSecretary of Interior Fall spoke at a banquet held in the Mission Inn.
The meeting was held for three days, and was attended by governors and notables throughout the southwest, including Mexico. The purpose was to discuss the Colorado river irrigation project. Secretary Fall held a hearing on this subject in San Diego today.
Among those attending from Fullerton were Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Chapman, Rev. and Mrs. John T. Houser, Mr. and Mrs. Rollin A. Marsden, Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Plummer.
Avalon Garrigan, of Fullerton, underwent an operation at the Fullerton hospital today for tonsilitis.
F. J. Garrison left today over the Santa Fe for Weeping Water, Nebr., for the holidays. He will spend about two months in the east it is thot.
Mrs. Gladys Lily, of Fullerton, was operated on at the Fullerton hospital today for appendicitis.

Misses Agnes Bowe and Helen O'Donnell of Los Angeles were dinner guests of the E. P. Fergus family.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Sweetwood of Riverside were guests of the A. E. Clark yesterday. They also had as their guests, Mr. Bill Richter.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur A. Cohen and son, Marvin motored to Los Angeles yesterday.
Frank Sesma and Henry Stankey left this morning by auto for a trip to San Francisco which will occupy the time until Dec. 24, returning to pass Christmas at their home.
They will visit friends there.
Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Camp, accompanied by their daughter, Mrs. Bandini and little son, drove to Long Beach yesterday. Mrs. Bandini went to Los Angeles later to pass the afternoon and evening with friends.
Dr. W. W. Adams and Angus made a short visit in Los Angeles yesterday.
Leonard Kellogg, of Los Angeles, was a visitor yesterday with "Grandma" Kellogg, at her home on Ball-rd, preparatory to sailing, Wednesday, with Mrs. Kellogg, for Guatamala. Mr. Kellogg is president of a company which has holding comprising 12,000 acres about there, and it is on business the journey is being made.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Moore and Mr. and Mrs. W. Armstutz were visitors at Laguna yesterday.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Johnston Miss Leta Hays and Johnny Johnston were dinner guests of Mrs. R. H. Darrows in Azusa yesterday. On their return home they stopped off at Los Angeles.
Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Smith, and Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Lideman of North Redwood, Minnesota are spending the week at Forest Home.

Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Adams were in Long Beach yesterday to visit Mr. Adams' mother, Mrs. A. Adams, him. She is improving nicely and indications point to early recovery.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bungay and little son were in Glendale Sunday for a short visit with Mr. Bungay's brother.
Mr. and Mrs. James F. Sutherland, nee Carrie Lou Evans, have returned from a honeymoon trip of a week. They spent several days at Prismo Beach, above Santa Barbara, and the remaining time covering other points of interest where honeymooners love to moon.
Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Mulvey enjoyed a motor trip to Los Angeles yesterday. Upon their return they found Mr. and Mrs. A.E.Sherwood and Mr. and Mrs.Newell of Whittier waiting for them.
