News of Fullerton WOMAN HURT WHEN TWO AUTOS UPSET There was an automobile accident last night about 9 o'clock on So. Spadra-rd when an automobile driven by Thomas A. Grey collided with a car driven by Lamon Estrada, both cars turning turtle. Both the cars were considerably damaged, and each party was badly shaken up. Mrs. Grey sustained a broken rib and was taken to the Fullerton hospital. Mr. Grey and Estrada were slightly injured. Mr. and Mrs. Grey reside in Fullerton. FULLERTON VS. SANTA ANA The football team of the Fullerton grammar school played the Santa Ana intermediate team at Santa Ana this afternoon. GIRLS PLAY DOUBLEHEADER There was a double girls league basketball game at Fullerton this afternoon at 3 o'clock, between the Fullerton first and second teams and the Santa Ana first and second teams. M. F. FORD, 64, SUCCUMBS M. F. Ford, 64, died yesterday at his home near Garden Grove, where he has lived for four years since coming from Oklahoma. He leaves a widow and five daughters. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 o'clock from the funeral parlor of Angus McAulay, Rev. John T. Houser, officers-in-charge, Interment will be in Loma Vista. PLAN CHRISTMAS PROGRAM There will be a meeting of the teachers and officers of the Houser Bible class of the First Christian church of Fullerton tonight at the church parlors, where the Christmas program will be discussed. There will be a meeting of the officers and board of the church tomorrow night, and arrangements will be made. CHARMING HOSTESS Miss Dorothy Knepp was the charming little hostess to a party given in honor of the Willing Workers of the Christian church Saturday evening at her home on S. Spadra. Pretty bouquets of seasonable flowers decorated the rooms and a very pleasant evening was enjoyed playing games. Later in the evening delicious refreshments were served after which the young guests departed, assuring their young hostess that a very pleasant evening was enjoyed. Those present were the Misses Helen Ellis, Helen Wood, Naomi Lear, Irene Dunton, Edith Robertson, Leona Laemmel Viola Lyons Margorie Allen Audrey Reeve, Fay Watkins, Lora Stull Pauline Nettz, Lloyd Allen Clyde Page, Earl Hampton, Lee Ellis Charles, and Carl Knepp. CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY In honor of her 14th birthday Saturday, Miss Esther Gregory, celebrated the occasion with a party at her pretty home in the afternoon. The dining table was prettily decorated in the pink and white flowers with the green foliage and on the table was centered a large birthday cake with pink and white candles. After a happy afternoon playing games, the little guests took their places at the table where they were served with brick ice cream and cake. Helping Miss Esther enjoy the afternoon were the Misses Doris Griffin, Marie Woodward, Ellen Woodward, Mabel Evans, Ruth Badley and Ellen Dreyer. Many pretty gifts were received by the little miss among them a gold bracelet with her initials from her mother. GEOGRAPHY ILLUSTRATED At an assembly this afternoon at the Fullerton grammar school auditorium for the 7th and 8th grades, there were magic lantern slides and a talk on geography. Mr. J. W. Hetebrink and son, Albert, returned Saturday from a duck hunting trip in Imperial valley. They were gone about a week, and brot home a large number of ducks and geese which they are dividing up with their neighbors and friends. The Foreign Missionary Society of the Methodist church meets tomorrow afternoon at the home of Mrs. V. Federer. Mr. Morton Jones, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Jones, was operated on at the Fullerton Hospital Saturday morning and is reported doing very nicely. Mr. R. O. Bullis of Los Angeles spent the week-end with her parents Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Jones. Mrs. E. J. Brown is a Los Angeles visitor today. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Campbell and Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Jenks spent the day at Newport yesterday. The Missionary Society of the Christian church will meet tomorrow afternoon at the home of Mrs. W. M. Knepp on S. Spadra at 2:30. Mrs. G. C. Clark and daughter Miss Eudalpha Clark spent yesterday at Los Angeles visiting friends, and attended the theatre in the evening. Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Coon entertained yesterday Mr. Waymyer and Mr. Humphrey of Turlock. The Missionary Society of the Presbyterian church will conduct a meeting Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. H. C. Johnson on Hilcrest Drive. Miss Erma Dillon, of Bakersfield, is here to visit her aunt, Mrs. Fred Evans until after Christmas. McGow of La Habra are rejoicing over the arrival of a daughter at the Fullerton hos- High School Notes A rare treat was given in assembly this morning, Mr. Burnell Ford brot with him the paraphernalia for making all kinds of electrical tricks. He asked for some of the boys to come up on the rostrum and he made them perform tricks with him. He lighted a candle from the back of R. Renner, much to the surprise and enjoyment of all. He stood on a piece of metal charged with electricity and it failed to burn him, but just the second one of the boys stepped on it, it burned a hole thru the leather and onto their flesh. Ford showed the audience how he could light a candle from the end of his nose and from the tips of his fingers. Many other astonishing stunts were accomplished. L. A. FRIENDS AT HEYING'S Mr. and Mrs. Fred Heying entertained yesterday with a 12:00 dinner honoring Los Angeles friends. The rooms were decorated in the autumn colors. The after dinner hours were spent socially in music and conversation. AUTO TOURISTS LIKE CITY Mr. and Mrs. John Perkins, of Loveland, Colo., who are at the Ahahelm auto camp grounds, report that they like the town first rate, altho they have not had time to look it all over since they arrived only yesterday. They are touring and expect to go to San Diego. J. D. Humphrey and family of Visalia are also at the camp ground and say that the town suits them alright. They are looking for work.
