SANTA CLAUS WILL VISIT WEBER'S SAT.
Listen, kiddies! Santa Claus is going to visit Weber's Book and Music Store tomorrow afternoon, between 2:30 and 5 o'clock, and he wants to meet every boy and girl in Anaheim and all his little friends in the surrounding community.
Santa will be on the second floor of the store where there are loads and loads of toys for Christmas. He has a message for the children which he can deliver only in person. If the boys and girls will go in to meet him there they will not be disappointed.

Snyder, state commissioner of vocational education.

A.-Marcy, Fullerton; Wednesday afternoon superintendent of schools S. B. Wilson, of Berkeley, will deliver an address.
Gov. William D. Stephens will be among the speakers at the Southern High School Notes
In the Assembly this morning, Harry Rimmer, widely known speaker of California, spoke on "The Sublimeness of the Commonplace." He gave several good stories in illustration. He told about experiences in the American Aviation Corps during the war.
Mr. Rimmer was chief speaker at the conference of the older boys of the Hi-Y last week at Santa Barbara, Orange-co. Hi-Y boys will gather at Orange Saturday and Sunday for a conference. Mr. Rimmer will be with the boys on both days. He expressed his desire to see all the boys in Orange tomorrow as he has a special message for them and they are all promised a good time.
Miss Irene MacLean, art director, announces the bazaar Dec. 16. In connection with this will be given a wonderful vaudeville show. New plans for the biggest social event of the school are being daily contributed and discussed, and faculty and students are working hard to make this affair a great success. Many articles of fancy work and many necessities that are made in the wood shop will be for sale. This is for the students and faculty and all their friends and relations, but when they come they are kindly requested to bring their pocket books because money is needed for the annual Save the date of Dec. 16 for your Xmas shopping day and buy your presents from the wide selection which will be seen at the high school bazaar.
During the assembly, Miss Agnes Harkness announced that if the weather was good Tuesday would be camera day. A good annual needs a lot of snaps and there are so few of them already turned in that another day is necessary. Everybody was requested to bring cameras and click all in a humorous position.

ASSERTS RENT NOT PAID; FILES SUIT
The suit of Edward Benner against B. Bordenave for alleged non-payment of rent on a piece of beet sugar land lying a few miles northwest of Anaheim, will be tried before Justice of the Peace J. S. Howard this afternoon. The defendant claimed he owed for only one-fourth of the crop, or $20.00, which he paid. The plaintiff claims Bordenave agreed to pay a rental of $200.00. The crop of sugar beets was sold for $80.00.
Benner is a local plumber. William P. Webb, Jr., is his attorney, and J. U. Hemml will represent Bordenave.

"What does this mean?" asks R. L. Moore of Selby & Moore Co., distributor for Gill storage batteries, the non-separator starting and lighting battery which is manufactured in California.
"It means," said R. L. Moore, answering his own question, "that batteries of today have a pretty regular habit of getting out of condition, not probably as much the fault of the battery, as the driver of the car. You will look through the columns of the automobile sections and So-and-So, who sells a certain battery, tells motorists to watch their battery and give it a regular drink or have a doctor, watch it with care—or if will die while still an infant.
"This means that you have to nurse along the battery with separators, or it will not be fit for service. Because of the absence of separators, the Gill battery gives the motorist freedom from worry of every kind. Water, of course, should be put in once in a while, but only occasionally. The Gill battery is as near fool-proof as it is possible to build, and still stand up under strenuous service for a satisfactory period of time."

AWAY BACK in.
"THEM GOOD old days."
THE STORY goes.
THAT AN elderly female,
WHO WAS violently,
OPPOSED TO the hootch.
ENTERED A street-car.
IN WHICH there sat.
A MAN evidently ossified.
SHE CALLED the conductor.
AND CRIED indignantly.
"DO YOU allow.
DRUNKARDS IN this car?"
AND HE replied.
"JUST MOVE over, ma'am.
NEXT TO that other one.
AND NOBODY.
WILL EVER notice you."
NOW I suppose.
THERE ARE cigarettes.
THAT KINDA get.
LOST IN the shuffle.
AND NOBODY gives 'em.
ANY SPECIAL notice.
BUT NOT my brand.
NO, SIR."

AND YOULL never.
