16,000 BBLS FROM HUNTINGTON BEACH
Huntington Beach
Sixteen thousand barrels is now the daily output of the Huntington Beach district. The average per well is running close to 400 barrels, the highest average of any of the California fields. This week four new wells were ushered in and their aggregate will add another thousand barrels to the field's daily production.
The Amalgamated Oil Co. has developed a nice production at Huntington Beach. Fowler No. 2 completed at 3567, is making 800 barrels of 25 gravity oil. Huntington 2-A at 2700 feet is doing a 125 barrels. No. 2 Huntington is producing steadily at 225. Pearce No. 1 has picked up from 375 to 500 barrels. Drilling at Huntington No. 6 is at 3400 and this will be the Amalgamated's next producer.
By bringing in Wilson No. 1 and putting it on production the Argonaut Oil Co. has doubled its Huntington Beach production. The new well completed at 2729 started late last week and is averaging about 220 bbls. The flow is expected to increase as the well cleans up. The new well gives the Argonaut a production of 400 barrels daily.
George E. Cloud's No. 1 has been giving some trouble with sand lately and now the well is to be cleaned out, bailed down and put in the best of production condition. Drilled to 2334 Cloud No. 2 came in a 200 barrel well and there should be no difficulty in getting it back to its initial production or better.
One of the nice little wells of the field is the Gypsy Syndicate's No. 1. Completed at 2300 feet this well has settled down to a 150 barrel producer. No. 2 was recemented at 2315 and is standing. No. 3 is rigging up. Nos. 4 and 5 are locations.
A week of continuous bailing failed to make Huntington Central No. 1 come back. Fifty feet of new hole was drilled bringing the new depth down to 2345. It will probably be necessary to tube the well and put it on the beam to get the production. No. 2 is now drilling at 3675 and is in a hard shell. No. 2 is not expected to get into the "pay" short of 1000

No. 2 is not expected to get into the "pay" short of 1000 feet.
Malis-Aldhal No. 1 drilled to 2691 is being bailed down to go on production. With 60 feet of oil sand to draw on, this well should make a good one. Nalis Syndicate No. 1 is rigging up to drill out the cement at 2590. Malis 1 (personal) is rigging up.
Machris Brothers No. 1 put on a spectacular showing late last week that made it look like a real oil well. The big production did not continue long before the sand heaved and cut off the thousand barrel producer. 3595 is the completion depth. The well is now being cleaned up.
E. J. Miley No. 1 on Dabney lease has seemingly come back to stay. A week's production shows a daily average of 750 barrels. This rig well was completed at 2705 feet.
A complicated fishing job proved too much for the Moore Syndicate at 3100 and the rig is being skidded over to a new location.
The Miley-Keck Oil Co. spudded in on No. 8 and started drilling yesterday. No. 1 is still held up with pipe trouble at 2590. No. 2 continues to produce about 65 barrels. No. 3 is a rig. No. 4 the old stand is making 400 barrels of 26 gravity oil at 3494. No. 5 is a rig. The water test on No. 8 at 2600 looks good. No. 7 shows 3500 feet and drilling.
At 2800 feet the Peerless Petroleum Co. stopped drilling and is waiting on the Mining Bureau's decision. At the above stated depth the shale is not showing much and the Peerless wants to continue with the drilling.
At 2715 feet the Petitfilis Syndicate brought in and put No. 2 on production. The ne wwell was drilled to 2715 feet and started off with a flow of about 200 barrels.
The Petroleum Co. drilling for the Moater Special No. 1 Brown is about to complete the well at 2925 the oil sand showed good, and it is the intention to continue drilling pretty well into the sand before attempting to bring the well in.
Recent successes of the Petroleum Midway on the Vollmer-Meyer property has put the company in second place in the production list. Vellmer-Meyer No. 1 has settled down to a 400 barrel well and No. 4 is doing about 1300: Preparations for the swabbing and bringing in of Ray Walker No. 1 at 3005 showed the well to be wet. Smythe No. 1 was re-cemented at 3368. Elliott No. 1 set charges of administration and payment of legacies, and being for the advantage, benefit and best interest of the above entitled estate and those interested therein, that the executor of the last will of Strother S. Ball, deceased will be provided by law and subject to the confirmation of said Superior Court, on or after the 11th day of November, 1921, all of the right title, and interest of the said Strother S. Ball, deceased, at the time of his death, and at the right title and office of the state has by operation of law or otherwise acquired other than or in addition to that of the said deceased at the time of his death, all that certain piece and parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Orange, State of California, bounded and particularly described as follows, to-wit:
