FORMER LOCAL GIRL GIVEN PARTY AT LONG BEACH HOME
TO COMPLIMENT the birthday anniversary of Miss Virginia Calloway of Long Beach, a former Anaheim girl, a number of her young friends motored over to her home Saturday evening and helped her celebrate her natal day. The girls took sandwiches, cake, saled and other numerous good eats and the mother of the honoree furnished ice cream and cake. The table had pretty decorations of Hallowe'en colors. Black cats, witches and other decorations were used about the walls. The favors were witches' cauldrons and when the guests pulled the strings the end of each string revealed a paper and on which were their futures. The evening was pleasantly spent with dancing and games. The young people were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. J. Kellenberger and Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Houts. The party was composed of Misses Pauline Houts, Marcia and Clara Carmichael, Bessie Renner, Marcella and Helen Weber, Theodore Hager, and Doris Eden. The honoree received many pretty gifts as remembrances from her friends.
