BREA CHRISTIAN CHURCH IN GREAT FELLOWSHIP DAY
AFELLOWSHIP meeting of greatest delight was that which occurred yesterday when the seventh anniversary of the foundation of the Brea Christian church was celebrated. Under the pastorate of Rev. W. E. Splcer the past five years, the church has made the Sunday falling nearest the middle of the month a notable day, and this was an especially notable one.
Rev. Whipple, of Whittier, was present in the afternoon speaking in glowing terms of the growth and enthusiasm of the membership. The roll now carries about 120 names, eight of which were added during the past two weeks, and about sixty in the year gone by. Some of these have changed into other locations, but the more or less permanent number is never decreasing. The Christian Endeavor is steadily growing, the intermediate department rising from 6 last December to 46 at present. The Junior department also showed substantial increase from about one dozen to 40 at present.
Prof. C. F. Cheverton of the California School of Christianity addressed the morning congregation, and Rev. Spicer, the pastor, spoke in the evening. The slogan which the pastor had given for this year's service was "Fill your hearts with love, your baskets with lunch and your automobiles with people, which they did, large crowds attending all the services throughout the day and evening." Reports were read which showed the excellent financial condition of the church, and with a substantial amount in the future church building fund. Plans for the coming year include a closer grading in the Bible school aon addition to the present temporary church building.

CLUB WOMEN CLOSE CO. FEDERATION WITH FINE ADDRESS
The afternoon session of the Orange County Federation of Women's clubs opened after a most enjoyable luncheon with Anaheim Ebell as hostess. Fully 150 ladies were served at the informal repast. The county executive board met during the noon hour, forming details for the coming convention in Santa Ana of the Seventh District of Federated Women's Clubs, the dates for which are Nov. 15, 16 and 17.
Mr. Dan H. Jones had the address of the afternoon, using for his topic, "Industrial Relations; the Man of the Hour." His talk was comic, yet broad. Mrs. Charles Hansen, in a reading following assembly singing, "The Star Spangled Banner," was particularly good, as was the pianologue by Mrs. Sam Collins, of Fullerton. An instrumental solo by Mrs. G. F. Henigan was of rare merit, and closed the entertainment numbers. A report of the credentials committee, with remarks by the county president concluded the meeting.
Of particular interest at the morning session following invocation by Rev. Walker, greetings by the president, with response by Mrs. W. A. Moore, county federation president, was the talk by Mrs. Katherine Kapp of Barker Bro., on interior home decorations, and deliniation of period furnishings, for different types of homes. The address by Mrs. L. L. Carrigues, of Newport Beach, on political science, dealt largely with the matter of suffrage and the responsibility of women as voters.
The hostess club, Anaheim Ebell, was represented on the program by the president, Mrs. J. H. Garnett, in a greetings address, and committee activities. The convention was a decided success.
