Beautiful "Bool" Will Be on Deck Here Tonite
Bull Montana has assured those in charge of the Elks benefit show that he will be on hand when the big athletic carnival opens at Sparke's fistic ranch tonight. The presumption is that "papa Bool" will take on Al Sparkes in a 30-minute match.
Jack Sparr or Bud Soles will meet Young Dudley in the main event of the boxing program and either boy is capable of giving the ducky battler a hot time. Dudley will be out with all he has tonight in order to wipe off the bad mark he received on his record when defeated by Jack Martin at Vernon two weeks ago.
Eddie Mattis will take on Johnny Woodward in a special event it was announced today.
Six good bouts have been lined up besides the wrestling match, and several other stunts will be staged as added attractions.
The advance sale of tickets indicate that a packed house will witness the show.

FULLERTON PLAYS FIRST GAME SAT.
The Fullerton high school football team will play its first game of the season against Santa Monica Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, at the Fullerton high school athletic grounds, Coach Smith announced this morning.
Coach Lewis also announced that the lightweight team expects to play Compton Friday but the place of the game has not yet been decided.
HARDWARE MEN HIT ALL YEAR CLUB PLAN
While the Southern division of the California Retail Hardware and Implement Dealers association, in annual convention last week, approved the advertising plan of the All-Year club of So. Calif., the Orange County Jack Knife club, composed of dealers in Orange county, is unequivocally opposed to the scheme so far as the apportionment of the costs to Orange co., is concerned, according to Albert Hill, president of the club.
The convention approved the general plan following a talk on the All-Year club by D. H. Jones. It was not stated what amount the hardware men of the Southland would be expected to raise.

Sport Chatter
Steve Dalton and Billy Conley will meet in the main event on the weekly boxing program of the Anaheim Athletic club Friday night at Sparke's litle ferm. Dalton needs no introduction here and Conley has been seen in action several times. Billy has gotten away to a bad start in all of his bouts here, but intends to change things in this bout. Conley realizes a win over Dalton will send his stock sky high and is confident of winning. He desires that the sparks begin to fly from the opening gong and that he will be on the long end at the conclusion of hostilities.
Chick Brown and Kid Lamb meet in the semi-windy, while Jimmy Lloyd takes on "Delhl" Fredericks in a special bout.
Bennie Heller meets Frankie Dudy and Kid Louie takes on Young Sam Langford in the preliminaries. A need not contain raises will be announced later.
Bill Darnley, matchmaker, returned this morning from Santa Barbara where he lined up some good talent.
Local boxing fans are watching Young Dudley's bout tonight with considerable interest in view of the fact that he will meet Chet Neff on the American Legion boxing program Thursday night. Neff's last start here was of such a whirlwind nature that there are many who believe he is liable to find dunker boy's number. At fifty rate most of them die of the opinion Dudley will know he has been in flight when the bout is over.
If Neff puts the same force into his work than he did last week against Henry Gastine, Dudley will have to keep stepping to bring home the bacon. Johnny Meyer will go into the ring on the second main event a considerable favorite over Jack Martin. Meyer's showing against Kid Mexico last Friday night makes it look highly impossible that Martin will be able to cope with his speed. However, on the other hand should Martin ever land one on his "iron mike" someone is liable to drop.

The convention approved the general plan, following a talk on the All-Year club by D. H. Jones. It was not stated what amount the hardware men of the Southland would be expected to raise.
"I have discussed with various members of our club the plan of the All-Year club to raise $25,000 in Orange county this year for three years," said Hill today. "Without exception members have expressed themselves as believing the general scheme of advertising the Southland is good, but that the proposed assessment of Orange county in the amount named is an inequitable distribution of the costs of the campaign."
"Other counties participating in the fund have been asked to raise amounts varying from $3000 to $5,000. Certainly they will benefit to the same extent as Orange county in the matter of direct results from the advertising."
DAVID TAYLOR DIES FROM APPENDICITIS
David Taylor, 211 So, Kroeger-st. 38, for three years secretary of the Anaheim Citrus Fruit Assn., died at 6 o'clock last night at the Anaheim Sanitarium, following an operation Saturday for appendicitis. He took sick Friday. The body is being held at the Backs and Terry undertaking parlors.
He is survived by widow here and mother, brother and sister in New York. He came here three years ago from Fresno. His home was originally in New York.
Funeral arrangements have not been made, and will not be announced until the arrival of Mrs. Taylor's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Engollis, from Fresno. His relatives will not come to the funeral, since it would take so long to cross the continent. Mr. and Mrs. Engollis are expected to arrive this afternoon.
ATTEND CIVIC CONVENTION
All city councilmen tomorrow plan to attend the sessions of the Calif. League of Municipalities at Santa Monica.
Yesterday, Mayor Stark, Councilmen Mann and Gates and City Manager Stewart visited the Los Angeles municipal hydro-electric power projects in San Francisco canyon above Saugus. The trip was planned as a part of the league convention.
PROGRAM FOR REUNION
A special program of music and speeches is being arranged for the fall picnic, reunion of the New York State society, Saturday in Sycamore Grove.
Don Dudley will know he has been in a fight when the bout is over.
If Neff puts the same force into his work that he did last week against Henry Gastine, Dudley will have to keep stepping to bring home the bacon.
Johnny Meyer will go into the ring on the second main event a considerable favorite over Jack Martin. Meyer's showing against Kid Mexico last Friday night makes it look highly impossible that Martin will be able to cope with his speed. However, on the other hand should Martin ever land one of his "iron milks" someone is liable to drop.
Steve Dalton and Billy Conley will meet in the main event on thursday evening boxing program of The Anaheim Athletic club at Sparker flats farm Friday night, according to an announcement today by Matchmaker Billy Darmany.
Dalton is well known to Anaheim fans and in meeting Conley will be facing one of the most rugged mixers he has tackled, for several months. Conley realizes that a win over Dalton will send his stock sky high and he has declared that he will start the matches to flying when the opening long sounds. The bout promises to be a wild fire contest.
Chick Brown and Kid Lamb will meet in the semi-windup. Although known in Anaheim it will be the first appearance of the two lads here.
As a special event Jimmy Lloyd, the Battle Elk" will take on "Delhi" Fredericks.
The preliminaries scheduled are Bennie Heller vs. Frankie Duffy, Kid Loule vs. Young Sam Langford. A red hot curtain raiser will be announced at the ringside.
Entries are being received at Dugas Myre's for the elimination pool journey. Entries will close a week from Saturday. The prize is a 17-jewel Pilin.

REPORT FATHER OF NEGRITE LIVES HERE
According to its import from Los Angeles this afternoon, the father of Negrite one of the Mexicans involved in the fatal shooting of Riveride officials last week is believed to reside in Anaheim. According to the report, an Oakland auto that to be the property of the older Negrite, had been found at Santa Barbara where it had been abandoned. Anaheim police were unaware this afternoon that the older Negrite resided here. Police Officer Marua Andrae is making an investigation.
Andrae stated that a cousin of Juan Palmarín, who did the shooting, is at a pool hall at the sugar factory colony. However, no importance is attached to this.
MOVIE WORKERS BATTLE FLAMES
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 27. — Feeding greedily upon tinder-dry grass and trees, forest and brush fires are sweeping over great areas of So. California forest ranges and hills today.
In half a dozen places forest rangers, rancherers, citizens deftened from city loafing places are battling flames that threaten valuable property.
Most spectacular of the blazes is the brush fire which this morning broke out again near Universal City within the firebreak constructed yesterday by all hands at the studio. The new fire is within the firebreak at places perilously close to the studio boundaries, which enclose 48 administration buildings and 96 stage sets. Every actor, director, stage mechanic and official is engaged in fighting the flames under the direction of Harry Brown head of the Universal's electrical department, who is also a forest ranger.
