RAP TRI-COUNTY HOSPITAL SCHEME
Fearing that the establishment of a tubercular sanitarium might have a bad effect upon the reputation of a chicken farm two miles away, the Green Hotel company of Pasadena has filed with the Riverside board of supervisors a protest against the plan of Riverside, Orange and Imperial county sanitarium at Box springs, Riverside county.
Word that a protest had been filed and would be heard in Riverside next Monday was before the board of supervisors at Santa Ana today. Supervisors N. T. Edwards of Orange and William Schumacher of Buena Park were named from the local board to attend the hearing.
A few weeks ago, representatives of the three counties agreed to proceed this year with the purchase of a sanitarium site. After visiting proposed sites in Riverside-co, the representatives of the three counties decided upon the Box Springs location, the site to cost $6,000. where a stopover of a day was made
route to Bergen, Stockholm, by
way, is credited by many travelers as being the most beautiful city
in the world. It did not so impress
the present writer, although he joins
with others in paying tribute to the
attractiveness of Stockholm. It is
built on many islands, which, with
the system of canals, render it rather
picturesque. Even allowing a reasonable margin for a possible prejudiced viewpoint, it could be said that
either Los Angeles or San Francisco
is more pleasing in its physical assopect.
