WHO ARE GREATEST WOMEN?
The oft repeated question as to who were America's greatest women will receive an answer which will become history when the Women's National Foundation incorporates in its club house in Washington, D.C., a feminine Hall of Remembrance to the famous women of each of the 48 states.
It has been suggested that in the hall, which would be the main auditorium, there be erected 48 pillars, each representing a state. Names of the state's most famous women would be selected by a commission, nominated by the governors, whose findings would be finally passed upon by a special national committee of four or five distinguished citizens and these names be placed on the pillars.
The only restriction in the selection of names will be the exclusion of all women now living.
Women all over the country are receiving letters concerning the movement with blanks for their expression as to whom in their community would make the best point of contact for the Foundation.
