ENTHUSIASTIC MEETING
The meeting of the Fidellis class of the Methodist White Temple was a very enthusiastic one, when they gathered at the home of the president, Mrs. Sylvia Johnson, on South Los Angeles-st yesterday for an all day session.
The regular covered dish luncheon was served at noon, almost the full membership participating. Several changes in the operating plans of the class were made, among them being the re-division of the groups. Instead of five groups as the class has here-ofore carried, there will be but four, and leaders selected ars Mrs. Terry, Mrs. Billig, Mrs. Findley and Mrs. Cornwell. Mrs. Jewell was elected secretary in place of Mrs. Terry, who accepted the leadership of a group. Other officers are Mrs. Sylvia Johnson, president, and Mrs. Jayne, vice-president.
A regretful feature of the meeting was the announcement that Mrs. William Brown, one of the most active members of the class, as well as in the church, is leaving next week to reside in Los Angeles this winter, as her son, Robert, will enter U.S.C. and they will take an apartment there. Mrs. Brown will continue her duties as teacher of the class, coming down for the week end but her cheery and helpful presence the remaining days of the week will be greatly missed.

According to several local football critics Orange-co will see the most successful season for many years this winter if the present plans of the various schools are followed. Practically every high school in the county is out after the laurels Fullerton has been walking off with for so long, and most of them are of the opinion that the last mentioned school will be pitted against the fastest and heaviest teams that they have faced since their meteoric climb into the limelight. STILL HOPEFUL OF WESTMINSTER WELL
Westminster
Drilling thru intermittent formation of shell and shale the Westminster test well is making hole at 4200 feet. Officials of the company are still hopeful of a well. This hope is bolstered up by the ever increasing gas showing that first made its appearance at 3950 and has continued to the present depth. Every time a layer of the shell is placed the gas makes a big showing.
Mechanical difficulties prevented the Standard from making any new hole at Garden Grove the past week. Drilling is now at 3229 and no change for any encouragement has been reported as yet.
