ADDICT WILL FACE WEAPON CHARGE
Will Clark drug addict, who escaped from the county hospital a week ago Saturday after striking the orderly over the head with a club, was found in a Los Angeles rooming house by Deputy Sheriff Herman J. Zabel.
Clark was arrested here in company with W. R. Lyhne about three weeks ago when Lyhne cashed an alleged worthless check for $5. Clark was sentenced to a term of thirty day on a charge of vagrancy and a date was set for Lyhne's preliminary hearing.
The two men were transferred to the county hospital because of their drug habit. Both made a break for liberty after being given a morning bath. Clark was caught about a half mile from the hospital. He was returned and made a second escape three hours later.
Lyhne was arrested in San Bernardino last Friday and returned to the county jail by Undersheriff E. E. French and Deputy Joe Irvine. Both are to be held in the county jail for safe keeping.
