SANTA ANA LOSES
HOPE OF P. O.-BLDG.
That congress cannot be expected this year to make an appropriation for any post office buildings, such as Santa Ana have been hoping will be erected in Santa Ana, is stated in a letter received by the public improvements committee of the Santa Ana C. of C. from Conn. Phil D. Swing.
Swing encloses a circular letter sent to all congressmen by the chairman of the House of Representatives committee on public buildings and grounds stating that owing to the present condition of the government finances and the consequent necessity for the most rigid economy, as well as the pressure of emergency legislation, the committee has definitely decided not to prepare and report a general public buildings bill at this session; or to consider any individual bill authorizing an appropriation of money, other than for hospital facilities for the treatment of our disabled ex-service men and women.

BARDEEN NO. 1 IS LOOKING LIKE WELL.
Puente Hills
The Bardeen Oil Co.'s No. 1 has made enough oil and showed up sufficiently to almost guarantee a well. On a production test at 2221 the well is making oil and water. It is not definitely known whether or not the water has been shunt off, although conditions look very favorable.
The Chino Corona United according to Supt. Haffer is pumping. Any no production figures are available. The oil is going into the sump. After considerable study the directors of the International Petroleum Co. decided to continue drilling their Puente well. Drilling is now underway at 700 feet. At 600 feet sufficient sand was found to insure a 10 or 12 barrel well. By going 400 or 500 feet deeper a 400 or 500 barrel wall is confidently expected. The international hope to have the well producing from the deep sand within 30 days.
Drilling on the Mahala Oil Co. No. 1 is now at 3700 feet, and the gas struck at 3500 continues to increase. No. 2 Mahala is up.
Drilling on the Pasadena-Puente is going ahead nicely. The hole is now down 1000 feet, formation a sandy brown shale.
The property originally leased by S.W. Mellon of the Sun Co. has been taken over by a new company now in the process of organization. The name and details of the activity of this new concern is to be announced later.
An assurance that the Pomona Oil Co. would resume work on its Puente well was received today. Drilled to 2865 feet this well has stood for a number of months.
The Gold Seal Petroleum Co. has come back and will resume drilling on its Puente well at 3700 feet. Recent activity led this company to try again.
The St. Helen Petroleum Co. has spudded in and started drilling. The test well and joining the Bardeen holdings is being drilled with a full electrical equipment.

Come on along!
Fill up your makin's papers with P. A
Greatest sport you know to pull out your makin's papers and some Prince Albert and roll up a cigarette! That's because P. A. is so delightfully good and refreshing in a cigarette—just like it is in a jimmy pipe! You never seem to get your fill — P. A.'s so joyously friendly and appetizing.
Prince Albert will be a revelation to your taste! No other tobacco at any price is in its class! And, it rolls up easily because it's crimp cut and it stays put.
It's the best bet you ever laid that you'll like Prince Albert better than any cigarette you ever rolled!
And listen! If you have a jimmy pipe hankering—by all means know what Prince Albert can do for you! It's a revelation in a pipe as well as in a cigarette! P. A. can't bite or parch. Both are cut out by our exclusive patented process.
