The party left Fullerton and arrived at Halloway's four hours and ten minutes later. Two hundred and forty five miles were traveled during the trip with an average of 18 miles to the gallon of gas This is an excellent record as over half of the trip was over mountain grades.Less than one quart of oil was used.Needless to say the motor was just as cool on arriving at the mountain destination as on leaving Fullerton.
