LOS ANGELES, July 14.—Found in a semi-conscious condition after having been mysteriously missing for more than 35 hours, Mrs. Claire Windsor, 26-year old motion picture actress who disappeared Tuesday while horseback riding in Cahuenga canyon, was today reported as improving by physicians at the Anglo-Hus hospital. It is expected that the mystery surrounding her disappearance will be solved soon.
Early today Mrs. Windsor recovered consciousness for several minutes, hospital attendants stated.
"Where am I?" she asked, apparently bewildered. She was told she was in a hospital.
"I is mother here!" she asked, Mrs. Cronek was at her bedside.
Mrs. Windsor was found in a dazed condition in the yard of the home of Mrs. Stella Dodge in Hollywood Park at 8 o'clock last night. Her tan silk riding habit was torn and dirty, her face was scratched, her nose was bleeding and there was a bruise behind her right ear.
She collapsed in the yard of Mrs. Dodge's home after making a final outcry for help. Her groans attracted members of Mrs. Dodge's household who found her in a clump of bushes a few yards from the house.
"The last that I remember," Mrs. Windsor told Dr. G. W. Cook, "is that my horse reared when a piece of newspaper or a rabbit passed before him. I remember tailing, and that is all."
My mind was a blank for a long time. Then I awoke here in the hospital this morning.
The woman was suffering from a terrific shock. Detectives, waiting to question her, were told to wait until later in the day.
"Do you think you were abducted?" Mrs. Windsor was asked.
"I don't think so," she replied. "I don't remember anything like that."
Mrs. Windsor is entirely out of danger and is recovering rapidly according to Dr. Cook. She suffered a contusion on the back of the head, bruises about the body and a slightly cut face. She was not injured in any other way.
BARDWELL WILL WED YOUNGER WOMAN
LOS ANGELES, July 14.—E.K. Bardwell, whose love for two women, one old enough to be the mother of himself and the other woman, entangled him in the meshes of the Mann white slave act, will take as his wife the younger woman, the mother of his baby, the minute he receives parental sanction in the form of an offidavit.
This will not end the prosecution of the Mann act charge, which originated in Tacomin, Wash., but it will greatly nullify the testimony of the alleged victim, who will be his wife before the trial is held, if their plans do not go away.
Bardwell, in jail, out of jail, and in again, was released on his own recognition several weeks ago by Federal Commissioner S.G. Long,

Bardwell, in jail, out of jail, and in again, was released on his own recognition several weeks ago by Federal Commissioner S. G. Long, who became disgusted at the delay of the Tacoma federal attorney in forwarding a certified copy of the indictment against Bardwell.
The commissioner, called a sentimental boob" by the Tacoma federal attorney, for his action in releasing Bardwell so he could support the two women and the baby in the case, ordered Bardwell to appear before him tomorrow for final action in the removal proceedings, which have been pending for several months.
The long waited for certified copy of the Tacoma federal indictment arrived today, so there is little doubt that Commissioner Long will act at once.
SAYS LOS ANGELES CAN FILL HOSPITAL
Orange-co supervisors got a big laugh yesterday when they were handed a postcard addressed to them. Written on a card showing a view of the Orange County Farm and Hospital was: "Dear Supervisors—It is to laugh that a county like Orange with all its boasted wealth—should advertise itself by sending out postal of their poor farm. If you are in need of occupants Los Angeles county can fill it for you."
The letter was signed "A. Los Angeles Friend."
