PREPARE BARDEEN
1 FOR PRODUCTION
PUENTE HILLS
The Bardeen Oil Co.'s No. 1 drilled to 2221 is being prepared for a production test. Perforated pipe from 2165 to 2221 is in. Balling will continue to ascertain a water shut off and the capacity of the well for an oil producer.
Drilling was stopped on the Chino Corona United at 3678 and screen pipe put in. The oil sand was struck at 3640 and continued with breaks to the present depth. The well is now being bailed down to bring in. Ralph Arnold one of the leading California geologists predicts a three hundred barrel well.
Faith in the Puente Hills assumes greater strength daily. The Mahala Oil Co. is getting the material on the ground to start a second well. The Mahala's No. 1 is drilling now at 3055 and is showing quite a lot of gas.
The St. Helen's Petroleum Co. has begun the erection of a rig on the Darner property and the Sun Oil Company is building a rig on the property adjoining the Bardeen Oil Co. on the west.

I grow tobacco
You can’t beat a Camel, because you can’t beat the tobacco that goes into Camels.
That’s why Camels are the choice of men who know and love fine tobacco. They know what makes Camels so smooth, so fragrant and mellow-mild.
They’ll tell you that the expert Camel blend of choice Turkish and Domestic tobaccos makes a cigarette smoke you can’t equal—no matter what you pay.
But it doesn’t take an expert to tell Camel quality. You’ll spot it the very first puff. Try Camels yourself.
