WHY BATTERY HAS QUICK COME-BACK
PRISCILLA DEAN – UNIVERSAL
In the great drama of woman against woman, "Reputation," by B. Winn Levin.
WHY BATTERY HAS QUICK COME-BACK
Automobile storage batteries some of them at least—have a surprisingly quick "come-back" and have been drawn upon almost the point of exhaustion. This phenomenon is explained by representatives of the Automotive Electric Company USL service station representation for this section, experts on all kinds of storage batteries in general. The said:
"This automatic recovery of energy in a battery is known to all secretiies men and to many experienced drivers. Suppose, for example, that battery, after discharging heavily, has barely enough energy left to make a feeble attempt to get started going. Or perhaps the start will not respond at all to the pressure of the starting button."
Following these unsuccessful attempts let the battery take a little rest—say for 15 minutes. The battery is not charging but simply rest. Following this period of the battery will be jumping with juvenated pep—in fact showing...

surprising capability. What is the reason?
"Such a phenomenon is explained by the fact that the short rest has afforded time for the diffusion of the electrolyte within the battery so that the energized particles have been redistributed so as to work to better advantage.
"There are a hundred and one problems similar to the foregoing that can be readily explained to the motorist if he would make it a rule to visit a USL service station at least once a month."
