GARDEN GROVE. June 28—Miss Evangeline Mosher who has been spending the last two months with her mother at the variety store, left Friday for Beir Springs, Mont., where she will be united in marriage to Charles Disney. These young people get in Paris while serving their countrymen. Miss Mosher spent 17 months in the Red Cross work in France, first during for the refugee children and later for the soldier boys. Disney spent two years in the navy. The many friends join in wishing them a bright and happy future. Gry Manperger and H. E. Carrner have bought the Bodenhamer acre at the corner of Stanford and Euclid. The Mexicans, who have been occupying the house, have evacuated and the building will be moved to the north side of the tract and thoroughly remodeled. The barn at the rear has been torn down and will be converted into a garage. The balance of the score will be divided into town lots, and placed on the curble. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Brown of Long Beach were guests at the home of Mrs. Titha Donelson-Thursday. They were accompanied home by Mrs. Powell, who spends one week one more time. G. Peace of Orange will commemorate the erection of a home this week on his walnut ranch which he recently purchased in the northwest part of town. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Knapp and little daughter Dopothy, and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Christensen were Los Angeles visitors Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph French are the two penned usages to guard proud by girl born Thursday June 23. S. Trumpy and family attended the Evangelical Sunday school plenic at Orange-co. park Wednesday. Mrs. Fred Winter and little son returned to their home in Arcadia Thursday after several days visit with relatives here. Mrs. Roy W. Elliott arrived the first of the week from Ann Arbor, Mich., to attend the Hedstrom-Farquhar wedding. Mrs. Elliott was formerly a classmate of the bride. Word has been received from Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Rhodes, who are travelling eastward, that the weather is the hottest ever experienced; the thermometer reaching 110 for three days. Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Proud, Mr. and Mrs. Bryan of Brea, and Mr. and Mrs. Logan Jackson were Capistrano visitors over the week-end. Criff Condon of Los Angeles, was a La Habra Visitor Sunday. Condon is superintendent of a string of school houses, among them being Brea and the newly finished La Habra grammar school. Mr. and Mrs. M. S. Black and family leave Wednesday for Puget Sound and other points of interest in Washington. They go by motor and will be gone for two months. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Sweeny of the Cross Roads are entertaining friends from Washington, D.C., for a few weeks. Moulton, owner of the large Moulton rancher, at El Toro, suffered a stroke Saturday as the result of hardening of the arteries. The stroke occurred when the Moulton family was enroute by auto to Long Beach, Mr. Moulton, because of the stroke, let the car get away from him, and grazed a telephone post, Miss Austin, a governess, affaced the wheel and prevented a disastrous wreck. Moulton is resting as well as could be expected at the Moulton ranch. If it's from Witman's it’s good!
