DID ever stop and think how many delicacies which you are daily accustomed would be lacking were the world's supply of milk to suddenly vanish? What would we do for our summer beverages were milk lacking? Do you know how much suffering would be caused by the lack of milk?
Startling to think of these things, limit it? Yet all these things are true. Milk forms the principal part of our daily diets. It is the most simple thing we use in beverages and in cooking, yet we go on from day to day considering milk as something to be taken for granted.
But for a moment think of the real vital importance of milk in your life, and that of your family. It is a food supply that has never failed you in time of need. From Babyhood, through childhood and up to and through manhood and womanhood to old age, milk is the one ideal food.
There is no better source of supply for real strength, for muscle building than milk. It is the ideal diet of nature.
Milk diets make children thrive and cause invalids to grow well and strong. A constant steady diet of milk keeps the ordinary man and woman in the best of health, giving them the proper strength to carry on with the daily tasks.
Don't neglect to drink milk daily. Use it as a portion of your regular diet. Be sure that the children drink sufficient for their daily needs, at least one pint per day. It is the ideal diet for you and for them.

The La Habra Farm Bureau held their last meeting for the year at the Social hall. Thursday evening, Dr. I. C. McBeth, manager of the Bastanchury and Leffingwell ranches, gave a very interesting discourse on the value of spoiled hay as fertilizer. He explained the needs of the soil, saying that at different seasons, the properties lacking must be supplied by adding such fertilizer to the orchards as would supply this need.
In the matter of using the spoiled hay, both alfalfa and barley, he thot if the cost were right, the hay could be stored until fall and then used to good advantage. The cost of about $4 per ton for barley and $3.50 for alfalfa, would help both the hay men and the citrus growers.
He said that, of course, this same condition might not arise again for years, but, to eliminate waste, there was organic matter enough to make the use of spoiled hay profitable.
Mr. Pickering reported that a canvass had been made among the ranchers and that $273 were paid to the public utilities department of the State Farm bureau from this district.

HEALTH ASSURANCE FOR YOUR FAMILY
Health is something which in America has been taken more or less as a matter of course. While we have made great progress in the curing of diseases, little or no attention has been paid to promoting health until the last few years.
During the war we woke up to the fact that the general health of our young manhood and womanhood was not all that it should be. We were not as healthy, as a nation, as we had supposed. Only recently investigations prove that at least 33 1-2 per cent of all our school children are undernourished.
In many of the schools milk has been used in a manner that has proven its wonderful health producing powers. The results obtained have been more than remarkable, showing quick responses in health progress as a result of the use of organic matter enough to make the use of spoiled hay profitable.
Mr. Pickering reported that a canvass had been made among the ranchers and that $273 were paid to the public utilities department of the State Farm bureau from this district.
One of the old-time ranchers, Mr. Chambers, of Fullerton, gave a group of songs, accompanied by Mrs. Florence Rhodes Wilson.
The reports of the committees and the final closing of the year's business, before taking a recess until fall, closed a very successful year for the La Habra Farm bureau. The guests and members were then invited to the dining room where delicious ice cream and cake were served.
