City Briefs C. P. Grim has gone to Los Angeles today on business. Dr. J. C. Other was in Los Angeles today on a business trip. Mrs. Sarah Parish left this morning over the Santa Fe for Chicago. Fred Herman and wife left over the Santa Fe this morning for Merrill, Ia. Mrs. Mary Deakins spent today with her daughter, Mrs. Hazard, of Westminster. Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Sebastian and infant are enjoying a ten-day vacation amidst the snowball at Big Bear. Mrs. George Mattis and daughter Clem are erecting a service station on N. Los Angeles-st. in the Wilkle tract. Dr. and Mrs. Gay Talbot of Pasadena visited with J. W. Kohlenberger 814 No. Philadelphia-st. yesterday afternoon. Mrs. G. N. Shear and son, Mr. Mead Shear, and Mrs. William Abplannip motored to Los Angeles yesterday where they spent the day. Mrs. Fannie Gardener who has been visiting her daughter, Mrs. Crowley of 525 W. Center-st., will return to her home in Santa Maria today. The annual picnic of the Lumberman's Ass'n of So. Cal. will be held at the Orange-co, park, Saturday June 17. Many local lumbermen expect to attend. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Kohlenberger entertained Mr. and Mrs. J. Blaschoff at a supper last evening in celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Kohlenberger's birthdays. They expect to locate in Anaheim in the near future. Mr. Adolph Blierant of Los Angeles, who has been spending several weeks in Anaheim at the home of her friend, Mrs. R. B. Hermann, of East-st., and enjoying the Orange show left this morning for her home in Los Angeles. Miss Jol Thompson, assistant cashier of the State Street Bank of Payson, Ill., is visiting at the home of her uncle, Mr. B. R. Shinn, Buena Park. In a few weeks she expects to leave for the North on her way home. She is spending today in Catalina. Little George Hansen, Jr., 11 months, was seriously scalded by upsetting a teapot of boiling water Wednesday. He is the grandson of Mrs. R. B. Hermann of this city and the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Hansen of Fullerton He is reported to be doing well. Mrs. B. J. Dresser, of 207 S. Palmst., will return in a few days from Portland, Oregon. Mr. and Mrs. Dresser motored to Portland over a month ago and Mrs. Dresser is still visiting her friends and relatives there and expects to remain away for several months yet.
