$3,000,000 WORTH OF GAS ANNUALLY
BREA, May 19.—With a $15,000-000 barrel oil production to draw from, it required no depth of penetration, or gifted vision to show the oil refineries where to locate.
The plant located near Brea turns out more than $3,000,000 worth of gasoline each year, besides great quantities of lubricating oil of high grade.
Much of the crude oil produced in Orange county is of unusual high gravity, especially for this coast, where petroleum abounds in such great quantities. Twenty-eight oil is not expensive to refine.
FRESNO WANTS LEAGUE B.B.
FRESNO, May 19.—Plans to bring league baseball to Fresno are proceeding briskly. L. R. Payne has returned from San Francisco where he has conferred with William H. McCarthy, president of the Coast League. Payne states that the Coast League schedule will be extended by one month, and that Fresno will have clubs playing here for the first two and last two weeks of the season. In addition the San Francisco and another club will train here jointly next spring. The plans involve the equipment of a new baseball park at a cost of over $50,000.
Completed at 3240 the Richfield United is now on production. While the well is flowing by heads and no settled production has yet been obtained, the wellat best seems to be making about 280 barrels.

The K. S. Woman's club has been trying to collect some jelly, jam and marmalade to send to the soldiers at the convalescent hospital at Balboa Park, San Diego. It seems to be hard to get the ladies interested in this good work as there has hardly been enough sent in as yet, to be worth while to send. Surely every woman in this district can spare at least one glass of either jam, jelly or marmalade. Take them to Mrs. Fred Quigley, who has

GLEVERLY DECORATED BOOTH FOR SOAP CO.
With a cleverly decorated booth in olive and lemon yellow, suggestive of the ingredients of its product, the Citrus Soap Co., of San Diego, is exhibiting at the Orange Show a citrus washing powder. It is said large sales of citrus to packing houses for the purpose of washing oranges were instrumental in causing the manufacturers to follow lead and link up still more strongly with this industry by local newspaper advertising and a display at the show.
“Every woman, nearly knows Citrus Washing Powder and its many uses and many men are beginning to learn of it as being handy to have around the car for cleaning grimy hands,” said Ed Davidson of Clegg, Martin and Davison advertising agency, who are now beginning an extensive advertising campaign for Citrus Washing Powder on the Pacific coast.
Clegg and Davidson came up from San Diego Monday afternoon and arranged the display. A register is being kept at the booth and everyone is invited to sign his name and address, “so that we can show our clients what a big crowd was at your beautiful show.” said Clegg.
